I got the invitation to the unveiling party. It says:

You and a friend are invited to enjoy
AN EXCLUSIVE,
private showing of our three
FALL COLOUR collections.

Indulge in the divine delights of
POSH PARADISE
as slinky bodies painted in
sensual shades merge with fantasy ferns.
Try on a new persona for
FALL WITH M•A•C
and make your flawless getaway with
STYLEDRIVEN
the ultimate in pro-longwear products.

The party will be on September 20th. I wish I could go.

Anyway, that means the three collections will be released together?
It's going to be fun!

That PP will be released along with The Fall Collection and StyleDriven. I am sooooooo excited right now you don't know. I wish you could go also and let us know how everything looks. So, I will assume this means September 29th will be the release date for all three?

Ok I know I am probably going to sound like the voice of dissent here, but I was just thinking that all of us makeup junkies are so lucky to even HAVE a creative, constantly evolving and dynamic company like MAC to stalk on a monthly basis (Yes, I know they are obviously dependent on all of us as consumers as well), and I think that once in a while we can give them a break for needing to change a launch date or push back a release. Especially if it's to fine tune a new color or texture, or fix something that isn't working properly. I mean heavens above, we all have enough makeup to get us through the Apocalypse AND the Rapture, we can all wait an extra week or two to see some things we are really excited about, right?

I for one, am cool with them pushing it back. I have spent SO much money in the last 2 months that I can definitely take some time to actually enjoy all the lovely things I have been gathering up. I mean I still haven't even used Hint Of Sapphire from the Semi Precious collection yet! In fact, I vow to relish the time MAC has just given me by using each and every item I have purchased in the last two months.

I second you!! I am so exhaust rt now money wise after hauling from last two months collex, & still its tough for me to pass on newer ones as I don't want to bang my head latter for not getting something everyone is raving about. Delaying these collections will give my wallet some breathing space.

Yes, this is absolutely fine with me, but what bugs me is that absence of any communication. Just let consumers know that collection A or B is pushed back to [insert exact date here] and nobody will be upset. Being left in the dark and/or having contradicting information is the frustrating part.

I agree with this completely! Especially since it all follows so quickly after MAC Me Over.

I kinda hope it is delayed. Matchmaster, Style Driven, Fall Colour and the Art Collection are launching this month too. Its all too much in one month.

As long as I can get my PP in September before I go away on vacation I'll be extremely happy. Even though it seems that so many collections will be coming out around Sept. 29th, let's also not forget Glitter & Ice in October and whatever else they may spring on us. I also want to know the future collections so I can plan accordingly.

Good points. My response would be that I'd be happy to have Mac do all these collections if they could execute them as planned. From a business perspective, delays and cancellations are a nightmare, because they make you look disorganised. And when you have so many collections planned, timing is crucial so that you aren't ending up forced to put out four or five in a couple of weeks (you want time for your consumer to focus on and buy from each individual collection, not choose one over the others). I thought their execution last year was very good, given their demanding schedule, but this year, they haven't been able to keep up- delays, short-shipments, information being released at the wrong time, customer service being left out of the communication loop, etc. I love always having new collections to look forward to, but I'd be fine if things were a little slower and better organised. It really seems like they've taken on too much.

I agree with you Mac-Guy. Three collections in one day would be too much. Maybe PP will come out next week or just be delayed a week or so. I really want the mattene lipsticks and would love to have them in time for my birthday in October. I hope they aren't pushed back to December. I hope we get some info and soon.

Three collections launched on the same day in Europe this week- styledriven, mmo and matchmaker so it wouldn't be that unusual. Normally when they launch a few collections together then one of them is a perm collection.... Are you thinking what I am thinking?!?!?

I completely agree! We still haven't gotten official info on glamglass, just a whole bunch of rumor and gossip. Same with Cindy/Fall. We haven't even gotten a press release stating the new name! It's getting a bit silly. It shows a disregard for us fanatics and collectors who are feeling excited about something that they told us was going to happen and then it just doesn't. It's like the divorced dad who says he'll take you to Disneyland on Saturday but then just doesn't show up. We're left sitting here and speculating about what happened and when might it come out and why doesn't Mac care enough to tell us!!:finger:
