MAC Posh Paradise Discussion

Thanks Copperhead and Shontay for your responses to my question! I knew I could return say, clothes, to a Macy's bought on their website, but wasn't sure about the cosmetic return policy.

Hi, just wanted to weigh in on this. I order from Macys.com all the time. If your store has a MAC counter then take it there to return it. The Macys that is closest to me does not and they told me just to take it to any of the cosmetic counters. I've done this at the Clinique counter as well as Lancome without any issue.

On their site they have a few brands that are not carried at least in any of the stores around me such as Urban Decay and they will let you return them to any counter. If they tell you otherwise go to a different counter becasue they are misinformed.

It is the only one of the PP p/p that is a bit dryer in texture and also looks drier on my lids. I prefer the texture and creaminess of Treasure Hunt. It spread like butter and you get this "I can't believe it's not butter" feeling.

I got GT to work when I mix it with TH, but on it's own, I found it too dry on me. If you have to decide between TH and GT, then I would get TH. If you get both, then you are all set anyway as you can always mix the two together in case you also find GT too dry.

It's funny that GT is so much drier, as usually the glitter p/p are the more creamy ones. Having said that, I still love both, I have BU-ed them both, and I would repurchase both.
I have never thought of mixing them and then applying, which is odd because I mix things together all the time. I suppose you could do that with fluid lines also. I may try in a small sample jar.

I have Uppity just sitting there upside down in a drawer, maybe I can come up with something so I can get some use out of it.

I strongly encourage you to use a spatula and a mixing palette (does not need to from MAC!). A spatula allows you to get the exact amount (especially important if you like the color and want to mix it again) and the mixing palette is cool enough so that the p/p mix does not dry while you mix it together (this might happen if you apply it directly to the eye or mix it on your hand.

You can virtually mix all p/p together or intensify color with piggies. I've been doing this for years and it's fabulous.

Nubile + TH mix: The result is a muted gold with a slightly peach-pinky sheen to it. It's very opaque and looks awesome on the lid.

I would call the Pro store, especially as I have seen some on ebay that looked rather fake.

I'm wearing Dame's Desire over Half-Wild today, with some Hint of Sapphire lightly blended over on the inner lid. Never have gotten Dame's Desire to look this glowing and iridescent before - very excellent combo.

For the rest of the face, I'm using the Adjust colored primer under Truth & Light MCLP, Sakura mixed with Goldstone on the cheeks and Deliciously Forbidden on the lips (although I really wanted to reach for Seeds of Desire for this one!)

Wearing all this with my brand new, bright green skinny jeans, a neutral grey top, colorful enamel bracelets and super fake plastic necklace and short boots the same color as Half-Wild. I feel pretty snazzy!!

Legendary doesn't read red at all on my already red lips - it's pretty much a medium brick brown, very similar to Krazy Kahuna, with just a touch less orange and a touch more red to it. If it was a brownish red, I'd have hated it too. I get a lot of looks and compliments wearing it though, so I must be doing something right.

I have to keep the eye shadow pretty restrained with it, though - I like just plain pencil liner in black or teal, or something very pale like Cool Elite Big Bounce all over the whole eye.

I did not think it was hideous. It is definitely more of a warmed maroon brown. I think its very wearable. It will be dark but hey, it is Fall.

No, you are not! When I went to do my little haul, Legendary was the main thing I had in mind to get, because of the love it got on here. Once I got there and checked it out, I was like, I don't think so, at least not for me!

So, I guess, I'm the only one who thought legendary is ugly and unflattering. LOL, well on me it is.

After Shontay's pic and your review I must add this to my list!! I didn't want to buy it because it's a dark color... and it seems I need lip pencils with dark colors! (runaway red and prince noir) but it's really too beautiful! I wonder how it compares with Made to last prolongwear lipcreme and if it could suit my warm undertones (it should!!).... It will probably suit me better than Delectable (but I want to try a peach nude!!)

Legendary straight from the tube doesn't work on me. I need to play with it a little, and I have been too tired from work lately to put in that much effort. It will probaby look a lot better as light stain with a nice gloss on top.

GT is my least favorite of all the paint pots. Right now Nubile is my favorite b/c I use it almost every day.

I got my paint pots in the mail and was checking them out last nite, because of all the fear now of creepy crawlys in my paint pots i have left 2 sealed and boxed up as i think i have a few other colours to use up first. (Pure Creation and Tresure Hunt)

I opened nubile and started using that straight away, i thought it would be alot more peach on me rather than beige and it tends to dull my shadows a little compared to bare study that i use all the time. Im going to have to keep playing with it to see what shadows it works the best with.

Half wild is also next on my list to work with, thats tomorrows paint pot to try out
