oh yes! they are a little irritating. i got some in my eye and i swear it hurt as much as when i got tea tree oil in my eye!
OW! I can imagine. I found that they irritated even my lids. I can't imagine what would happen if they got in my eyes. Too bad, because they look so lovely! I'm loving the sounds of the shadow palettes, but it seems like there are a lot of shades I already have. I'm also totally confused by the shadow called "Illegal Cargo". That was a very pretty purple that came out with Naughty Nauticals (I'm pretty sure), but now they have it listed as a black frost. I'm not sure which I'd like to see more. I'm also not sure why they'd have a "new" matte black. Are they just trying to pretend that they're not putting Carbon in one of the sets this year?
hhhmm i thought that was well because i remember the shadow from nauticals. perhaps it will be another shadow where mac use the same name and then have a totally different shadow? it has happened in the past. either that or the colour description is wrong because the info hasn't been 100% confirmed just yet.
I have Illegal Cargo too and yes its purple! Maybe something got lost in translation since it was in Russian? Have they stuck Black Tied in any of the palettes too? That one and Satin Taupe always show up!

I don't think it was a translation problem 'cause Temptalia's blog post here: http://www.temptalia.com/mac-ice-parade-collection-for-holiday-2011 called Illegal Cargo a jet black, so they're all getting the same publicity packet. Personally, I find it annoying if a brand re-uses a name for a different color, especially when it's the same product (eg eyeshadow).

Exactly! It's not that she delivered new information, but only copied from the Russian website (as acknowledged on her blog).
I have a green-grey eye shadow called "Free to Be" as part of a quad and now that same name is a coral shade in their Pro lineup. Looking at the photos that were posted of the palette, there isn't anything I can see that really looks like the original Illegal Cargo, so I'm thinking that, yes, they recycled the name. It's annoying enough that that happens at all, but at least if the name were "Hot Pink" or something descriptive, I could understand. Why on earth does Mac reuse names when they aren't really tied to the colour to begin with?
