I'm interested in most of the gloss sets, lip bags, and brush sets this year. I've heard that the crushed metal pigments don't always perform well, so I figured I'd cross those off my list since I don't use the pigments I do have on a regular basis. I hope we get the pricing for everything quickly so I can start making a budget for myself

yeah crushed metal pigments are tricky. i find no matter what primer i use they fade and crease on me :(

I need to go back and swatch the crushed metals. I will certainly end up with the coppery-red one.... I love how buttery these are in texture. They are a bit more difficult to apply, but the effect you get is stunning.

Thanks for letting me know, you just saved me a butt-load of money when this collection comes out!

no worries! i'd still maybe try them for yourself at the store and see what you think but they are not my favourite type of pigment that's for sure!

I am definitely getting the brush sets! Hopefully the quality isn't complete crap. But in recent years they have been, I remember the days when the brush sets were AMAZING! My mini 187 that I got from the Flashtronic collection is just as good as my full sized & still soft to this day, not one shed of hair. Just saddens me that the quality of the sets have taken a dive! Maybe I am just spoiled from when they were actually true quality "mini" sets.
I will have my fingers crossed & praying that I wont be disappointed. I just love how they have the brush sets put together for this holiday collection.

I do too!

Very disappointed with this collection, I like the bubble packaging but not the items in them. The brushes are cute... It may grow on me but first impression :(

I really wish we could purchase the stackable pigments individually. Like the palette, there is usually one unworkable color and I am not trying to be cheap, but I don't want product I can't use. That is the real hang up on me getting these pigments--not that they need to be applied with care or technique-I actually like experimenting to make it work to get an amazing affect but I want to individualize my color choices. Could they make stackable pigments where we could PICK the four we want out of 8 or 12 choices? Now that would be the shizznit.

Release date is november 1st all over. I can only see scandinavian prices on my press info, sorry, but they're the same here as with A Tartan Tale, so that should give you an idea.

I always get sucked into buying the mini kits, but I always end up not using the products (except the brushes). It is like they get lost in my make up stash never to be seen again.

I sometimes wait for them to go up as individual (mini) products on ACW site. I hate buying sets that have stuff I won't use or is permanent or repromote something I already have. Plus I seem to always be broke after the holidaze.

If I weren't on a MAC no-buy, I'd still skip the crushed metal pigment sets. I barely use the ones from Surf Baby.

The topic of this thread is wrong I think.

The mini kits with glosses and pigments are part of the Dazzlespheres collection:http://pudderdaaserne.dk/2011/10/05/mac-dazzlesphere-julen-2011/

The Ice Parade collection is the brush kits, the palettes, the lip bags etc.: http://pudderdaaserne.dk/2011/10/05/mac-ice-parade-kollektion-julen-2011/

Ahh, I thought something was odd. We need Lou to make a Dazzlespheres thread.

I'm looking forward to a few items (good to see some different lip gloss options this year, and a duo fiber brush set!)

But..

I wish they'd stop putting black eyeshadow in all the shadow palettes! all 4 this year have some version of a black shadow, as well as every other holiday palette I already own, and I never use them :( . And I was surprised to see they are going with crushed metal pigments as opposed to the traditional kind, I don;t see these selling nearly as much, seems like everyone says the same thing, they look beautiful but they are so much messier & harder to apply
