Is Party Parrot Candy Yum Yum bright? Brightest of the all l/s from this collection? I wear bright l/s all the time, but I'm getting scared. (I've already ordered it.)

me too i love bright lipsticks!!! sometimes ill go easy on everything else except very dark lashes or falsies and that bright lip color. never fails. i cannot wait for party parrot to land on my door step tomorrow..!!

It's NEON pink on me! I like it. I am just not used to a lippies as bright as this. I don't have CYY. A lot of people were comparing Party Parrot to Fusion Pink. I have FP as well. It is bright but not neon and seems much more wearable on me. Party Parrot is the first bright lipstick I've put on that actually has me wondering if I could wear it out of my house... I think the matte formula makes it much bolder and "in-your-face" looking since there's no sheen to balance the brightness.

Yeah, shontay said the same thing. CYY is also matte. Maybe that explains why they are so bright? I should be ready for another bright neon pink lipstick. Glad I got the warning before I see it.

Anyone who has Flamingo already - can you compare it to Fresh Salmon, Ever Hip, Jazzed or the Gentle Simmer Slimshine? I'm dying to know what it's really like.

If it is that bright on me, i guess i'll keep it for spring and then i'll wear this baby everywhere i go!! It's the very first time i get so excited about a bright lipstick, hopefully it'll look good.

I thought the same when I first got CYY. But eventually it grew on me. It actually made me feel cheery and happy when I wore it. I now that sounds silly but it did. With colors I'm uncomfortable with I'll pat it on my lips and blend it with my finger until I get the color how I want it. Or use a lip brush to do the same. Maybe try doing something like that until you are comfortable enough to wear it brighter. I used to be scared of colors like this, but with a natural blush and a neutral eye (like just just a paint pot blended out and lots of mascara) It helps not make it so scary.

OK... I got Party Parrot. And the bright pink lip liner to go with it. Now, I go bold on my lips sometimes and even sort of bright... But NEVER anything THIS bright! Now, don't get me wrong, it looks pretty neat, but I'm not sure I would wear this out of my house!
I'm wearing it around my house and glancing at myself every hour or so, trying to get use to seeing this shade on myself, but I'm just not sure! It seems like the longer I wear it, and the more it sets in, the BOLDER and BRIGHTER it looks! I'm kinda nervous wondering if I'll EVER reach for this lippie!

I HAVE to ask... Where will all of you wear these bright lipsticks!?????

Oh, someone asked me about the flamingo and ever hip differances. I forgot who it was, but EH is more creamy looking and more coral, and flamingo looks like it has a pink sheen with a glossier look. Thats what made me realize that I could get flamingo even though I have ever hip.

I'm headed to a store tomorrow if anyone needs a CP. I think this store didn't take any pre-orders cuz they still had Flamingo in stock. Then again, the pro store is less than a mile away from this store so maybe everyone already got their lipsticks. Pro store is sold out of ALL lipsticks....

yep, you can apply it as a stain patting it gently on you lips.. it will work!! and when warmer days arrive you will be less afraid of wearing a bold bright lip^^

Definitely pair it with a neutral eye and blush. And maybe wear it for an evening out at first to get used to it? I'm sure you can rock it!

Somebody mentioned Hibiscus as a possible dupe for Scarlet Ibis, so I did some comparisons and I don't think it is. Here are the swatches:

Wishing everyone good luck on their lipstick hunts today.

I got up a bit early to pick up Pink Pigeon, Scarlet Ibis and Flamingo at the RBC MAC store. The SA mentioned that they only got a few of the lipsticks in (I think there are maybe 2 or 3 Pink Pigeons left as of this morning). I have a feeling that most of the lippies will be sold out before the end of the day.

I'm not sure that I could wear any of these lipsticks full-on for work (fairly conservative office) but thinking they will looking nice as a stain with a bit of lipbalm on top and paired with minimal eye makeup and lots of mascara.

So Party Parrot is very bright & neon? I would think Pink Pigeon would be the brightest and boldest out of the group.

I haven't received my shipment yet. Fingers crossed I receive it tomorrow. PixieDancer maybe you can pat it down a bit or put a lighter color over it so it isn't so intense on you? I think I am more attracted to the colors of the lipsticks than actually wearing them. Once I get mine and wear them I will let you guys know what I think as well.
