MAC - Naturally Discussion

I was pleasantly surprised at how Fresh Honey looks on. I applied it with a 187 brush and it is very wearable. The MA kept calling it peach. Its defintiely more orange than peach but not so orange that is isn't flattering. Very nice for spring/summer.

Not as impressed with the eyeshadows. All I see is shimmer, shimmer, shimmer when I have them on.

I feel like a jerk exchanging stuff, but my Twilight Falls and Cloudy Afternoon were so muddy that I didn't even want to use them. Got much better veining and grabbed In the Sun while I was there:)

Here' s a look I did today:

In the Sun on the lid, Diamond Dove in the crease and outer v using the 286 brush - I like this brush for the crease, it looked blended upon application. Also Early Morning blush - of course! Thrills lipstick with Hot Spell lipglass over it. (Loved the lip combo) - reminded me of Buzz lipglass.

Sephoraholic, A Perfect Day looks beautiful on you!

I wore APD today as well, and I loved it. I finally might have found a perfect nude l/s (with pink hue).

Any thoughts on Pillow Talk, girls? Did you buy/like it?

I got my Naturally goodies yesterday! I already knew I would love Redhead, as it's my second one. Fresh Honey is gorgeous and so smooth feeling. APerfect Day is deserving of all the hype. I really love it. My surprise favorite is Twilight Falls though. It feels like butter! I wore it yesterday and there was NO fallout, it applied so smoothly and looked beautiful. I'm so happy I got it!

Warmth Of Coral is not coral on me at all (it has quite a lot of yellow in it, like an apricot shade), it seems really close to Fresh Honey what I can tell from pictures. I have to take it with me to the counter to compare once this collection comes out.

Did anybody else noticed that the new versions of Redhead and Blonde are much smoother than the older versions. This makes me very happy as it means that MAC is using the new formula on repromotes - this time for the better.

It was the one I wanted most from these lippies... however it has become my least fave of the bunch! A lil bit drying... and Ive fallen in love with Sweet Sunrise and APD...so pillow talk got bumped lol

I noticed that too, which is a good thing! It actually helped me pass on Blonde though, because it made it closer to Crystal Pink, even though less wet look. I spent enough dinero as it was, without adding yet another MSF to my pile. I think it's going to be easy to resist them going forward unless they've got a dramatically different color or texture than the norm.

What makes it really wearable for NW's is to combine it with a light bronzer such as Gold-Go-Lightly from SB. As it is a bit more yellow-based, it will neutralize not only any redness - typically on the cheeks - but also complement the orange tones of FH. To make it even more perfect, I like to combine it with Too Chic b/p as a yellow-gold highlight and I dab off any excess powder from FH on the bridge of my nose and my front - it pulls the whole look together instead of drawing too much attention to the cheeks. As yellow products cancel out redness, I think it is working very well on lighter NW complexions.
