I was wondering, does the deep teal in the Colour Added quad look anything like the Deep Blue Green pigment? It looks similar to me and I think I can achieve similar results.

Runaway Red looks so brown in the Temptalia swatch. Its so much brighter and bluer in real life!

That sounds to me like S.O.P.S. (Sold Out Psychosis Syndrome).
Symptoms of SOPS may include:

• anxiety
• repetitive futile behaviors, such as returning frequently to MAC site and clicking "refresh."
• despair, often accompanied by thoughts of paying above retail
• denial, insisting that item will be re-promoted, and is dupe-able, anyhow
• feeling of personal failure, for not "jumping on" item.
• envy of those who did get item
• more anxiety
• attempt to compensate, by reminding self of money saved for next collection
• more anxiety

Sooner or later, the syndrome is resolved by resignation, followed eventually by death from advanced age while hunched over computer.
Needless to say, this kind of tragedy could be prevented by MAC HAVING ENOUGH STOCK!

Pardon my shouting, but this syndrome has affected me, as well as many others of whom I know, and it's so horrible, and so easily preventable.

IMO Runaway red is 1000x prettier than it looks.. I love it!

I'm not really excited for this since it's full of repromotes and colors I'm not dying for. I think I might end up with just one (possibly 2) quad now. No tendertones b/c I already have one and no pearlglides because I own all except Black Line and I hardly use them. No fluidlines either b/c after the YSL gel liners, there's no need to look elsewhere. I'm bummed because I want a Mac mega haul like the one from last year's spring collection. Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer.

Shontay - I think Watch Me Simmer will look fab on you. One of the MAs at the party is about your skin tone and it looked really pretty on her. Almost made me want to get it. BTW - I bought some tendertones and tried your application method. I thought it was so funny at first but it worked like a dream. Thanks!

Three of the colors are gorgeous, but Self-Serve...what the hell happened?? I'm not sure it's worth the 38 bucks now. Laundry Daze looks like every other highlighter I have, Colour Added and Three Ring Yellow are almost exactly the same, but I've no idea where I'd find a gorgeous color like Pre-packaged. Gyaaaaaaah...D<

Noooo, really? I was in Selfridges today and they told me they'd have it from the 24th. They always have unreliable info though - I remember when they told me the Wonder Woman collection was a Selfridges exclusive and that even the MAC website / MAC stores wouldn't be selling it

Anyway, I'm out of the country from the 10th-20th so I really hope they don't sell out of the things I want!

Pre-packaged is definitely the best colour in that quad, but it's not worth getting it just for that one colour

I played around with my Colour Added quad last night and it's true - Self-Serve has an impenetrable surface that feels just like a piece of paper.

It's so smooth that almost zero product comes off whether with a brush or finger. This could just be my reasoning since I purchased the quad, but Self-Serve can still work as an outlining shade for building up color in the crease. Then a more pigmented gray/black shade can go over it.

*shrug* I'm still in love with the other three colors and even though I own several highlighters as well as Three-Ring Yellow, I like the formula of Colour Added a smidge better.

Just use a brush. It the simplest way to keep your t/t sanitary and get the most use out of it.

I haven't seen Colour Added in real life, but it does look like Three-Ring Yellow has a touch more green in it. I like the look of Colour Added better.
In Allurabeauty's swatch Self-Serve looks a lot better. I have learned with mattes you should never touch them with your fingers, so maybe that's why christine's swatch looks so poor? She didn't have good colour payoff with the Evil Eye quad, but i like it and i never touched it with my fingers.
