Oh, and forgot to mention, according to my SA - the LE items are the eyeshadow quad, single eyeshadow and the beige clare eyeliner.

I did my birthday makeover with my favorite MA and she used this collection on me. I like the concealer very much, it is smooth and provides good coverage without being cakey or settling into the lines. Using the moisturizer, primer, the fluid foundation and then the loose powder, my face appeared brighter and paler, maybe almost too pale for my comfort lol. The loose powder has very fine shimmers and it is very smooth. It is like guerlain meteorites, brightening and adding a glow. She used Rives, the quad, over Source on my eyes. A lovely neutral combination, Rives is smooth and pigmented. She used Ebene to lined my eyes and the trio brow set on my brows. For my lashes, she used the inimitable primer and mascara on me and I love how my lashes looked, long and curled, but maybe a bit clumpy. Inimitable mascara is perfect for my lower lashes though! She applied very little FdL on my cheeks and it was a light orange on me. Finally on the lips, Charme and the pink Aqualumiere gloss, beautiful! But guess what, the gloss disappeared in 1/2 hr lol, and it tooked the lipstick away with it. It looked amazing when just put on. I came back with Riverie lol, which she didn't use. I got some Le Blanc skincare and primer samples, and also a huge red rose for valentin's day and a pair of Chanel dice, a black and a white, for my birthday gift. Only Riverie and Rives are LE, like what Lexi said, not sure about the liner. QoS - FdL is more pink, while Reflex is more gold. I have some pics of the blushes but they aren't of very good quality as the lighting in the store is very bright and it was hard to capture the true colours. I'll put up the pics tomorrow. But all the JCs are baked, for your reference.

Sounds beautiful Miss QQ! The counters there sure are nice to their customers with the gifts all the time - you are lucky! So I take it you were not convinced on the JC. Are you still considering the quad?

Who was your fav MA - could you recommend? I've only had Martinus and he was out of town. I didn't get to try out the Le Ba]lanc bases because they looked a little too light for me and I was worried of looking pale. I do agree that the pink gloss you tried on is VERY pretty - I wanted very much to dislike it because I didn't want to buy it! But it is absolutely beautiful and I am still considering it.... I did Fleur de Lotus and Rives(which she also did over Source) but I wan't sure about the Illusion'Omree because when swatched, it didn't really come up the icy green I expected, more like a wash of green glitter bits.

I bought the Fleur De Lotus JC at the counters yesterday. What a lovely springy blush! The texture seems different from my normal JCs, it feels softer.

Thanks, ladies! Winthrop - the makeover is complimemtary, Chanel mailed me an invitation saying after the birthday makeover, I get a gift too. I have no complains! oh yes this service and the snow globe i got are all given at the chanel studio. I think the studio makes an effort to treat the usual customers better. Have you been to one? The MA wanted to use Horizon on me but I already bought it so I asked to try FdL. I think she felt Horizon is prettier too. I asked her if FdL is orange, and she said she would just dust it on very lightly. I think those who bought the JC can tell you more accurately. I passed Rives because it is like a warmer/brown Prelude. I love Prelude. Rives is boring to me. It looks a bit like Dior Mitzah quint, which I didn't get to see in person. Rivière is gorgeous. I thought it is close to the silver mint shade in NARS Habenera duo, but the NARS is more silver. It is closest to Money of UD BoS 3, but of better texture. I layered Burberry Pale Barley over Rivière and I got the shade of Rose Platine, maybe just slightly darker. Lexi - Rivière needs a primer for the colour to pop. I use it over TF insurance and the mint green pops! Do you use the pink gloss over lipstick or by itself? Does the pink show up if you use it alone? I can't stop thinking about it, it's so pretty. No....lol...there are only 3 Chanel Makeup Studios in the whole country (Honolulu, Hawaii; Costa Mesa, California; and Seattle, Washington)...all of which are unthinkable trips. Maybe if I just happened to be going to one of those places for another reason someday I could make an appointment. I don't even have a regular Chanel counter within less than 1.5 hours away from me. Thanks for your thoughts on the quad & JC. I will definitely cross the quad off my list. I am in love with Prelude too. Still tempted by the JC though...

Hmmm, all of this talk about the Chanel makeup studios has me excited Costa Mesa is right by the Newport Beach/Laguna beach area where we are taking our girls for Spring break this March. I wonder if I should make an app. there?? They carry country exclusives, right? Does that mean I can pick up backups of my beloved Muscat glossimer?? (or maybe that was LE in Asia, too)
Gail, do you happen to know which downtown Nordstrom the Chanel studio is at in Seattle? Is it the one on 500 Pine St? I need to have all my bases covered lol

This is where I found those locations. I'm pretty sure they are all inside Nordstrom stores -- I know that's the case for the Seattle and Hawaii ones. It looks pretty incredible:
