^^ Me, too. My RA's have more shine to them and are much more moisturizing on my lips than the RC's. Although some of my faves (Magnolia and Charme) are RC's.

Me too, but those 2 seem like a different formula altogether, don't they? Wierd!

Shadowy Lady, I ordered Romantic on your rec and love it. Thanks so much!

^^ Yep, they do seem like a different formula from other RC's. I have one Aqualumiere that is now d'cs and it was supposed to be really moisturizing and it is dry as all get out. Bizarre with the formulas sometimes!

OK, so I got my first Chanel lipstick today (this new addiction to Chanel is not going to end well...) and I LOVE it! I got the Rouge Allure Velvet in 39, La Somptueuse. It is a gorgeous brick red. The staying power is amazing, it's not drying at all, it's just perfection. If I use a little lip balm before applying it the colour is slightly less intense (good for day time), but the staying power is just as strong.

Thanks for the input everyone, I was worried that I was the only one who found RCs drying when they're supposed to be more moisturizing than the RAs. >_> Chanel better not make the RAs drier so that the RCs are more moisturizing in comparison...bah.

Rouge cocos were supposed to be more moisturizing. I generally find them the opposite though.

It's so funny that that's the case, because I'm the only person I know who finds the RCs more moisturising. For some reason, some of the Allures dry me out, but I know that pretty much everyone else experiences the opposite.

Thanks! I'll give a try, but will this dry out the lipstick as well? :(
No, at least it did not for me. Just leave it open over night and see if that changed the smell to a level you like. If not, repeat. I tried it with a EL one and it took 2 days to go down to an acceptable level.

Yeh, I have only one Aqualumiere lipstick too, Majorca, and it is very gritty and dry! Agree that the RCs come in all kinds of formula.

I am in love with the smell of lipsticks...Dior rouge dior, YSL's and Chanels.

I find the smell adds to my experience!!!!

My Versaille RD lippie from the Holiday collection smells like typical Dior though...

I have a hyper-sensitive sense of smell since my other beauty-related hobby is collecting perfumes. Opening my tube of Nocturne for the first time was like getting smacked with a bouquet of violets. Airing it out now to see if the scent will tone down any.

My counter is having the new RCS this week and I got a mailer saying we get a badge with every RC or RCS purchased. Some of you may remember I got two badges when the RC first launched and I bought Gardenia and Mademoiselle. I'm swinging by the counter this weekend! QoS - hope the scent goes away! What are your favorite perfumes?

^Ohh lucky! Tell us what you think of the new RCSes/RCs! I'm especially curious to see how En Vogue compares to Sari D'Eau, how Culte compares to Destinee, and Avant Garde compares to Superstition.

As for what perfumes are my favorite...wow, that's a tough one. If I had to narrow it down to a my-house-got-robbed-by-a-beauty-burglar-and-these-were-my-only-bottles-left type of situation I'd have to go with Chanel's Cuir de Russie, Tom Ford's Noir de Noir and Serge Lutens' Chergui and Fumerie Turque. I'm generally a big fan of dark-but-semi-sweet scents, leather being my favorite note. When it's hot out though I'll reach for something lighter, like Narciso Rodriguez's For Her Musc Intense or Chanel's Une Fleur de Chanel. I also have a bunch of Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab bottles.

^^ I will see if I can compare the colours you mentioned. En Vogue is from the summer collection, not this. I believe these are the 6 we are getting.

I have only smelt Chanel Cuir de Russie from your list, as I'm still at the mass market stage. You have expensive perfume tastes!

Too bad I never got to try Une Fleur de Chanel, I read that it is LE. I like green florals, but am not a fan of very flowery floral scent.

Anyone knows what Sigrid Agren is wearing on her cheeks? Horizon? It looks pinky coral in my mailer, like this.

LOL my perfume tastes are expensive, which is why I have more testers than bottles. At least until I start working again.

Une Fleur is a pretty watery/light floral. It got bad reviews because critics didn't find it original, but sometimes you just want to smell clean (who doesn't?) and not perfumey, you know? There's a perfume shop here that has two bottles of it left but they're way out of my budget at the moment. >_<

Hmm, according to the site you posted, Avant Garde is indeed darker than Superstition. When these come out here I'll have to bring my tube of RA Nude to see how they compare.

Her blush might be Malice. Isn't Horizon (the new stripey one) lighter?

Saw the new RCS and RC. They are all different from the old colours. I didn't buy anything and there were no badges with any purchases at my usual counter as it was not launched as planned. Instead, I saw these at the studio.

RC Cult, Avant-Garde

RCS Style, Sourire, Effrontee

Left column from top: Royallieu, Candeur
Middle: Effrontee, Style, Sourire
Right:Destinee, Cult, Avant-Garde, Superstition

Thanks so much Miss QQ! I might have to give Destinee another look (and give Culte a look too), and DEFINITELY will be checking out Avant-Garde. I'm still kicking myself for missing out on Patchouli a few years back and I've realized Nude has a bit of an orange tone to it.
