Aside from the synthetic bristles, what sets the 169 apart from the 168 in terms of application? Are they a little similar or not even close? I wasn't into MAC when the 169 was released, so I'm not at all familiar with it

Similar in looks, but they provide a complete different finish. You might want to read back through the thread where I posted about the 169.

Do you have the 189? This might be a better option than the 130, though it is a bit large, but you could possible just use the tips and achieve a similar result.

if you are already getting modern madarin, I'd go with pink cult. You could just use modern mandarin very very lightly to get the look of immortal flower? More variation this way, plus pink cult is like an everyday blush.

LOL!! Me too! I'm going back and forth on being on Team 6 and as of now I'm on Team 3 for online and will get two more blushes when I go to the mall on the day of the release.

I'm going to get LC,FoJ,IF and then Pink Cult from Reel Sexy.
I'm super excited for the release whenever that will be. Are there any international dates yet apart from that its in April?

After swatching most of the blushes today, it looks like I will be team 6. Pink tea and pink cult are equally amazing (i missed out on jeanius)...and are nothing alike when swatched on my hand. FoJ looked really bad and powdery on my hand swatch but OMG FRICKIN' AWESOME on my face (i have broken veins and a generally reddish area around my cheeks)....I FEEL THE LOVE!! The only one I didn't like was love cloud although the SA tried to push it on me...it was kinda like da bling in a shadow form...I don't know, I wasn't tempted by the swatch to try it. I have mata hair and desire from nars but I still want to get peony petal! And omg Imm Flower looks divine....MM i just swatched on the back of my hand and it's orange alright...that one I would have to do a cheek test to see....So far...team 6 (TC + PC!)

I am NC20 and it looked amazing if you are into the doll, pastel-y spring look...in fact it looked on me like it looked on the model in the display pic!

If I waited for bloggers of my skintone(or close to it) to post swatches I'd never be able to buy anything lol.

I kinda laughed a bit seeing FOJ on T, she really packed it on! Lovecloud is looks sooooo pretty but I will try to resist.

Went to a different Nordstrom last night and the MUA let me play w/ all the new goodies. I had a few questions but didn't get a chance to ask her b/c she was so busy (only MUA at the counter for some reason).

After looking at all the swatches on my arm, she rec'd Immortal Flower, Pink Tea, Pink Cult and MAYBE Lovecloud. Thought occurred to me that to this day, I still haven't properly swatched PP. Maybe my subconscious is trying to convince me not to buy it? /shrug

I really wanted to love FoJ, but it seemed really bright. I'm not giving up though! I'm going to try applying it sheerly to my cheeks the first opportunity I get.

My BF's expression when he saw MM was pretty hilarious, though. He couldn't understand why i'd be interested in something so orange =P Still on the fence w/ that one, as well.

Wondering if I should pre-sale and wait (im)patiently until I can pick it up on the 13th, stalk the websites, stick with my MACover appointment on the 5th or call the MUA on the 4th and beg her to put things on hold for me (she said she MIGHT be able to do that).

(sorry the swatch is so bright, my BF wasn't thrilled w/ the task he was given, haha. I also don't know why i look so tan =P)
