I'm loving this collection!
The MA at the counter i went to yesterday did my make up. She used Nude on Board bronzer and i liked it, but when i swatched it on my hand with Sun Dipped next to it we agreed that Sun Dipped would look better. I tried it on today and the texture is wonderful and the colour is perfect for me. Nude on Board was a lot more yellow. I'm thinking about a back up of this one.
She also used Fleet Fast blush and that one is perfect for summer. It's a muted reddish corally sort of colour, i don't really know how else to explain it. I tried Launch Away today and i like that one as well. It shows up as a light peachy pink on me. I'm not sure if it will show up on darker skin, but for me it's a great everyday blush.
On my eyes she used Jaunty e/s on the lid over Painterly Paint Pot, Feeling Fresh e/s in the crease and a bit of Plumage e/s on my outer lash line. Today i used Jaunty again over Painterly on the lid and i lined my upper and lower lash line with Emerald Sea e/l and Feeling Fresh e/s on top. Jaunty is a neutral to slightly yellow version of Naked Lunch. I use Naked Lunch a lot, but i think i like Jaunty more, because it compliments my skintone better. It also works great as a neutral shade with Feeling Fresh, because of the slight yellow undertone. I love greens so i had to get Emerald Sea and Feeling Fresh. I didn't have a green eyeliner yet and Feeling Fresh is quite unique i think. I didn't compare it with the pro longwear shadow, but i don't think i would use up such a big pan so this is better for me.
The lip the MA did on me was Shore Leave l/l with Salute l/s and Blessedly Rich l/g. Today i'm wearing Sail La Vie l/s. I also tried on To Catch a Sailor l/s yesterday. Salute was actually quite nice on top of Shore Leave. I'm still thinking about it, but i was already getting so much that i left it there for now. I'm loving Sail La Vie. It's not nearly as bright as Morange. I don't think Morange would suite me. Sail La Vie is darker a bit more red and has some sort of muted quality to it. I got To Catch a Sailor, because i wanted to be trendy. I like it, but it's very different from what i normally wear. We'll see how that one works out. I don't have my Viva Glam Nicki with me, but i'm really curious to see if Shore Leave would work with it. I don't wear lipgloss a lot, but i had to get Blessedly Rich and Riviera Life. Riviera Life i believe is a bit darker than Morange and it has these awesome shimmers in it. It screams summer to me. Blessedly Rich is a nice rose copper shade with a lot of shimmer. I don't think i have ever seen anything like it.
And then there is Crew. I tried it as a highlight today and it maybe is a bit dark on my skin for that. I think it would be really gorgeous as a soft blush. The sheen on it is so pretty and subtle. It reminds me of the pearlmatte powders from the Vera collection.
I also liked Red Racer l/s, but i have Scarlet Ibis, Russian Red and Runway Red, so i'm trying to skip red lipsticks for now. Send Me Sailing l/g was also very pretty, but i think it's similar to Wicked Ways l/g and i don't use red lipgloss that much so left that as well.
I'm still thinking about Barefoot e/s, Nautical e/s and Blue Stripe e/l. They all swatched nice. Barefoot reminded me of Goldmine, but Goldmine is more yellow. I don't use shades like that much so i'm not sure if i need it. I have Naval e/s, but i think it's more on the purple side of navy and a bit lighter than Nautical. I do not have a navy eyeliner yet, but i'm also thinking about the blue pearlglide liner, so i skipped Blue Stripe for now.
I'm sure i'm not done with this collection, but i don't know what i'm going to get besides the back up of Sun Dipped.
