MAC So Reel / Reel Sexy discussion

You did? I'm thinking of getting Borealis c/g now and I have Chillin' c/g from In The Groove Collection.

I don't have anything like Borealis. It looks gray and kind of bleh in the tube, but it has a pink tint with pink sparkles when you swatch it. The Groove Collection was before I got into makeup.

Star Quality is a very vibrant coral shade and very pretty. I'm not one who wears a color depending on the season. I wear any color I feel like at any time of the year, but Star Quality screams summer to me. It's also a brighter and more opaque shade than I normally find with cremesheen glasses so far. I got a BU of it. As a matter of fact, I think I snagged Borealis when I was getting my BU of Star Quality!

It is! Colour Saturation is pretty too, but this is better.

I seem to recall there was a Sheen Supreme color that's quite close - Asian Flower. 'Might need a little patting on and blotting to dupe the texture, though. I really like Sheen Supremes, even though I only have Full Speed and Sheer Mandarin - I wear them often! Full Speed was one of my most worn last year for sure.

Playtime from Quite Cute is definitely a closely related color too - I have a really hard time deciding if I like it better than Pink Popcorn or not, to tell the truth. Pink Popcorn's a little easier to just apply and go.

I didn't back up Pink Popcorn either, but I wouldn't be too concerned - it seems like MAC releases at least one similar color every spring - it certainly is a perfect shade for those early springtime days.

Lastly, it's a bit different color, but if you love the way the texture of Pink Popcorn just melts into the lips and seems almost opalescent, you should definitely check out Venus from Heavenly Creature. It's got the same style to it, but more summery/early fall.

I got home from work today and my Venus is missing. I tore my bedroom apart looking for it. of course my 9 yr old daughter has no idea where it went. I have a back up but im super annoyed that a l/s ive worn aproximatley 3 times is missing.

I love pink popcorn and venus.

I misplaced Sail La Vie after only using it once. I try not to feel too bad about it, since I lost my Bite of an Apple, thought it was gone for good, and then found it a year later behind a book case.

I bet you'll be able to get another one if you need, but of course then the original will magically appear.....

i did that with bare truth lipglass after wearing it a few times. i loved it so much, and the collection was still kicking about, so i bought a new one....and found the original a year later in the pocket of a lacroix jacket i only wear to special events!

Just looked at my stash pics. The ones I have up now were taken somewhere late April. Seeing the lipglosses I just realised that despite the fact that I am a lipstick and non lipgloss girl I have gone from 12 in April to 26 (+ perhaps galaxy rose in the near future) lipglosses now (in 3 months).

The 12 had been with me for a few years. Star Quality from Reel Sexy has caught my attention and opened the door for many more. To my surprise, I have already finished half my Star Quality.


Blushes (also Nars) and lipsticks have gained quite a few too.

Really curious about the number of lipsticks I have now and blushes too. Must... start.... counting...

Heroine was a great purple lippie. I can't believe I passed on it while it was in stock. I'm not one for repromoting things quickly, but Heroine is an exception to that rule IMO

I am trying to ignore all the Borealis talk but I have been eyeballing it for a while. And I don't think Shroom could be described as a light lavender color with rainbow glitter...that sounds so gorgeous, was that one of the duos? Number 2 maybe??? I saw these at ACW but I bet they are still in stock from the MAC site as well...

Hey people does anyone know of a good Heroine dupe??? I been wearing a concoction of Magenta l/l, Prestige e/l in Magnetic and MAC Prep and Prime... The color payoff is excellent but obviously its not as creamy as Id like it 2 be... Any suggestions or lipstick dupes???
