MAC Heavenly creature discussion

I've been looking at swatches and trying to narrow down my list, but I really don't want to buy all of these so I need help narrowing it down even more!

I am definitely getting Light year and Star Wonder MSFs. they're the only things I'm 100% sure of! Everything else is up for consideration:

- Astral / Meteoric CSG - I definitely want at least one of these, maybe both. Is one a clear winner?

- Earthly MES - This looks pretty but is it a must have? Any dupes?

- Universal Appeal MES - This is exactly the sort of colour I usually go for which is partly why I'm thinking I should skip it. I must have something similar - can anyone think of anything?

- Sky MES - Kind of the opposite of Universal Appeal. It's not the kind of colour I usually go for so I don't know how much I'd wear it, but it looks really unique in the swatches I've seen. Is it?

- Fire Sign, Pleasureseeker and Venus lipsticks - If I had to choose ONE, which should it be?

I feel like I ought to be so much better prepared for this collection...

Really love Bright Moon, Earthly and Sky look. Watching the video, the swatches look sooo much better than each individual post she made. Guess I'll watch the vids only from now on!

I really like the look of Sky but I don't know how I would wear it! I don't reach for blues very often - I'm more of a green girl!

The bolded are the two I'd recommend. I don't think there is a dupe for Universal Appeal. The rest I'm not sure about!

Same here - greens, purples, taupes and neutrals

I hardly ever wear blue, but Sky does look like such an interesting colour!

I kind of wish I'd gotten Venus now, but I might get it when it launches on Nordstrom. With my order today, that brings my haul to:

Star Wonder
Supernova
Cut a Caper
Ring of Saturn
Light Year
Center of the Universe
Fire Sign

I may pick up a gloss or two when I get paid again. Considering the ones from Reel Sexy are still on Nordies, they look like they stick around.

Thanks for the tips! I might just order the MSFs online and then check out everything else in store.

I think I saw some folks who had this same problem but when I checked my email for my MAC order I clicked on the tracking number and it said my package had been delivered (no it hasn't) and signed by someone named Johnson (that's not my name) and delivered on 5/31/2011 (now say what now?). This did happen to someone in here I think. What did that person end up doing?

My choices are in bold. I have to say I don't have Earthy but it is the one I would want if I wore MES.

It is quite sheer, so I don't think it will wash you out. Try it at a counter next week. Nudes can always be tricky!

I was feeling good about sticking to my list but I am starting to develop Skipper's Remorse for Ring of Saturn MB, Intense Light MES, and Earthshine MSF. And maybe even Venus lipstick. Good thing these things may be available when Nordies has the official launch...

The No-Buy remorse got to me and caved on getting MSF in Light Year. Star Wonder sold out the day of the launch on the Canadian so I didn't stand a chance. lol
Also coveting Meteoric Cremesheen Glass but I never use lip gloss because it just doesn't last one me no matter what I try more then 2 hours.

Those are the EXACT colours that I wear the most! I recently dyed my hair a dark red colour too, so I'm not sure how well Sky would go with that, but damn it's pretty!

I would say Star Wonder and Earthshine are my favorites. I picked a SW with a lot of peach and plum and little gold (which IMO is the pore emphasizes). For ES, I picked one with less burgundy and it looks beautiful on NW15-20 skin. Too much burgundy will turn it slightly dirty, so I was scavenging though the stock to get an ES that addressed my specific needs. :encore:

So would you recommend an Earthshine with only a little burgundy for pale ladies? I'd still like it to pull plummy if possible!

I hardly wear blue, and when I wear it I choose the darkest blue possible :S I bought universal appeal because I'm trying to embrace purples in my life, but it's so difficult to apply and don't get the impression that I was punched in the face =/
