You guys are driving me crazy with your pictures! I can't take it anymore, Solar Ray has seriously become my HG summer blush and I need a BU. I've been wearing it every day. I also want SW so badly, your swirls are just so beautiful.

...maybe I can sneak off to MAC later today.

Yeh i think I wanted it to look like Anitacska's or Pixiedancer. I think my star wonder looks a bit flat lol if that makes sense!

THANKS SO MUCH TO EVERYONE POSTING SWATCHES AND SWIRLS!!!! I love all the excitement and involvement with this collection!!! I just picked up my haul yesterday (SW, LY, ES, Earthly, Neo Neb, Venus and Cut a Caper), and everything is just delicious!!! But I must say that I am SUPER jealous of everyone's plummy Star Wonders, mine has a lot of pink but not a ton of purple...it pulls much warmer pink than I was hoping. Still gorgeous, but not as cool as I wanted. Also, my Earthly is much warmer than I thought it would be. I was hoping for a taupe or a very cool brown but mine ends up being a very middle of the road medium warm brown perhaps I should look for one with more of the light putty color? Light Year really surprised me with how pigmented it is, I still can't figure out how it ends up being so corally-peach when it looks so pale in the pan, but it sure is pretty! I need to do a comparison with my Refined MSF as I feel like they are pretty similar. I haven't tried my Earthshine yet but from swatching it looks nothing like my Metal Rock. Although, the burgundy swirl itself looks very similar so if you got a mostly burgundy one it might come pretty close. I think my fave of all the items is definitely Venus...it is the perfect pink and has a really heavenly glow about it, like summery iridescent pink jelly! When im on my proper computer I'll post pics of my items so you can see the swirls that go with these opinions.

As far as LY yours looks great, haven't really seen too many with a strong gold vein. You could go back and see what else is in stock, and if there isn't anything there you like go to a different one. I actually like that mine doesn't have a strong gold vein through it, makes it a softer highlighter on me.

Definitely get Star Wonder with a lot of plummy rings, Invincible Light doesn't seem to be a hot shadow...at least around here.

SweetSarah... your LY is perfect! You have a really nice gold vein in yours! Not too small. Not too big. It's like your "Goldilocks LY!"
Richelle... I agree, I specifically picked a LY with as little gold as I could find.

Here's a tip I shared from the MUA's at my MAC Counter, but is worth repeating... They had been using LY all day yesterday during the launch. One of them had a LY with lots of gold. The other had one with just a tiny gold swirl. They told me that when they wanted to add more sheen to the face after using the little gold veined LY, they simply added Soft & Gentle MSF on top until they got the desired sheen. They said both cheeks looked the same after the application. So... IF you have S&G, you can get away with a smaller gold vein. I actually looked for one with more base colors instead. That way I can add sheen/shimmer with my S&G (which honestly doesn't get much love from me on it's own, so I was happy to discover a way to utilize it more). Just a tip I picked up I thought I would share. Enjoy your LY's ladies!

I'm practically sitting on my doorstep waiting for Mr. Courier to make my day. I've been stuck in the house all day and no 3-inch rain fall will stop MY MAC DELIVERY getting to me.

I am about an NW10-12 sort of shade and my first order is;

Earthshine MSF
Light Year MSF

I say first because all you terrible folk are making me want the full quartet of MSFs! You gals...

My haul was supposed to be small for this collection. I ordered Earthshine and CotU MSFs and Stratus MB last week with plans to see Supernova in person later to decide if it was worth it. That was supposed to be it. Well, due to this thread, I called my fave MAC store yesterday at 10am and had my girls hold SN for me until I could get there in the afternoon. I looked at swatches of the CSGs on here (while waiting for the rain to pass) and ended up wanting Strictly Plutonic. So, I came home with SN and SP in under 10 minutes. Now, looking at PrettyKitty's EOTD, I now need to head to Macy's to swatch (and likely order) Earthly. I've also decided that I NEED

Ring of Saturn, Cut A Caper, Pleasureseeker, Cusp of Dawn, Celestial Kiss, Meteoric and backups of Earthshine and Stratus. At least I can B2M for the lipsticks but my wallet is unhappy with me right now. LOL

I am so jealous of your swirls! They're gorgeous! I'm particularly drawn to Earthshine.

Awww! Don't be jealous! HeeHee These swirls are like kids... they are ALL unique and special. In the case of swirl-hunting I guess they are more like puppies, since I actually went and picked out my favorite!

I had a rough search for Earthshine! MAC online sent me the one with the huge beautiful burgundy swirl and I really thought I'd scored! But then I discovered on here (and from Shellcat) that one with less burgundy and more of that warm matte brown is best for my skin tone... SO, the search began. There aren't tons out there with little burgundy I discovered. I'm guessing the whole point of Earthshine WAS to have THAT burgundy color be predominant. But I did find one I think will work better for me on the face and I will use the other for an eyeshadow! So each is unique to my collection. I hope you find the perfect Earthshine for you Yazmin! It really is lovely!

I picked up 5 tubes of the volcanic ash exfoliator, it's my first time trying it and I got a sample yesterday used it and fell in love! I also got Cut A Caper lipstick and Meteoric Lipglass. For some reason I didn't take to the Mineralise Eyeshadows - as beautiful as they looked they didn't swatch as impressively unless used wet, bit time consuming for me if I'm honest. I think I'm going to grab Light Year, I'm regretting not getting it now! Who want's to see swatches on NC42 skintone?????

Earthly with the metallic navy blue liner from Hey Sailor is making my brown eyes seriously pop! Wearing Earthly on the lid. Lined with the powerpoint in Blue Stipe with Nautical Navy e/s swiped over it.

Oh I totally forgot to mention this! Yesterday I used Stila's smudge pot in Kitten as a base with Earthshine over the lid and Stratus in the crease/liner. HOLY SMOKES!!! it was awesome and stayed on much longer than I thought it would. I believe 6 or 7hrs, which is amazing for my oily, double creased lids! So yes, the MSF's and MB's can be used as eyeshadows!

That sounds amazing, I'm wondering, where do I look to see if a product is eye safe? Can you point me in the right direction?

I never would have thought to try that combo. I'm trying to rack my brain to see if I have a blue liner now...haha

Usually MAC will put an insert in the product box like in the case of the cream color bases or pigment/glitters, some are eye safe and others are not. That insert will tell you what's what, but since there isn't one you can almost assume it is safe. Your eyes though will tell you if it's a yes or not too.

This sounds lovely Richelle! What colors did you grab from Earthshine and Stratus for the look? Did you dip into a particular color or just grab all the colors evenly? I don't have that Stila smudge pot, but I'm definitely going to dupe this look with a Paint Pot! Maybe you could post a pic?! I would LOVE to see it!
