So I caved and bought another Earthly! I was looking for that cool taupe sheen that I was seeing in others' swatches, and mine was just reading too dark and warm, so I bought the lightest one I could find yesterday:

Here are the swatches (Flipped. Darker swatch is obviously for the Earthly on the right!):

My camera is making them look cooler than they are in real life. The lighter swatch is actually a bit peachier due to all the warm gold in it, and loks a heck of a lot like Coco pigment actually!

I also caved and bought Universal Appeal. When I swatched it in store and saw that plum reflection amongst the beautiful bronze I could not say no! I also have a feeling that Sky will eventually be mine.....and maybe Bright Moon too.
Aaaaaand possibly Meteoric.
MAN, I was so good at first with only 2 MES, 3 MSFs, and one lipstick.......

They both look very pretty.
Even though I try to avoid returning products, I sent my 2nd Earthly back. It was almost completely brown, and swatched very muddy and not nice at all. There was barely any gold in it, it looked really flat.

Unfortunately, I think if you got an Earthly with lots of brown it will look muddy. But yours looks fine, try to pick up more of the shimmery gold part maybe? You should swirl them all together.

I use the 286. Everyone who uses MES a lot NEEDS this brush, it's great!
uhm I don't have a lot of MES but I guess I must add 286 to my brush list (argh it gets bigger!!)
With blushes I love the 188! and with Star wonder I use 179 buffer brush!!

I agree with Naynadine....both are lovely!!!

And your swatches show again that you can not get "real" BUs of mineralize products...they are all much too different to call them "BU" IMO!
They may have the same name but you get two different products.

Sorry for the off topic post but for ladies of color on this thread how are you wearing Lighscapade? I have 2 but haven't really played around with it much.

Also, what does CC mean? Someone in previous posts mentioned they were wearing CC with a mineralized blush.

And I can't believe how AWESOME the Volcanic Ash is.

Why didn't I ever purchase this before????? I love it. I may back it up since it isn't perm.

I've been wanting Cantaloupe for a while, but I haven't been able to make it to my pro store. Is there anyone that's close to NC45 that has it? Could you post a swatch? PWEEEESE???

If anyone has both cantaloupe and center of the universe, could you swatch both? I wore CotU today for the first time and freaking loved it! I had a coworker tell me that I was 'glowing' today.

I just thought it gave off the same color that I'm expecting to get from cantaloupe (minus the sheen of course) and I'm wondering if there's a need to get cantaloupe now.

Richelle, you come to mind because you seem to have EVERYTHING (smile), but I'd appreciate anyone that can help!

So I'm trying to decide what else I will BU and tried on Light Year and Star Wonder as a blush. Should not have done that! Perfect combo!

EXACTLY! But what it DOES mean is that you have a valid excuse to by like 3 of each product since they are all so different! I am still peeved that the MA yesterday tried to tell me that each shadow, regardless of swirl, is pretty much the same color. I was like "C'mon lady, where is your basic color theory? CLEARLY that is not the case! Look at this Earthly in my hand....You are telling me this is going to be the same color eyeshadow as the one with 10% of the dark brown, double the beige, and 4x as much gold? SRSLY?". At the very least they are missing out on an opportunity to sell double the products!

I told the MAC Supervisor (YES, I demanded to speak to a Supervisor) to make a note to ship my new Earthly in bubble wrap, and she said they would! I think it seems foolish not to do that with Mineralized products in the first place to avoid these issues.
It was helpful to see that my UA swirl went all the way through to the base on my last one that arrived broken... So at least it was somewhat useful info out of the mess.
They really should consider bubble wrap. They are quite prone to shatter. And yeah, that is jacked up--so glad you got a replacement but what if there weren't any left? (Like my beautiful BU of Amazonian Princess?)

I was bad and went to the MAC store to get an Aurora to replace my shattered one, and I also ended up with Invisible Light and Earthy. That means I got all of them but the blue toned ones. (although Liba is making the green one hard to resist).

Can someone compare solar ray, ring of Saturn, and center of the universe with Nars orgasm.
I didn't buy Solar Ray because it's closer to Light Year with more of a glittery sheen (that's the impression I got anyway, it is definitely a light peach shade, as is Light Year). I didn't compare Center of the Universe, but on page 133 of this thread, I did swatch Ring of Saturn with Orgasm and some of my other peachy/orange blushes!

Yes, I did. And I realized how bad my English really is, because I don't understand what this means
