I have ordered 2 for now. Hoping to check them out in person on Sunday too, but in all honesty I don't think I'll get more.

I went and picked up 6 of these today, one of which (Coil) had to be exchanged right away for a new one. I opened the pot and the entire shadow portion (not the pan, just the shadow) fell out on the floor. The SA said they are having alot of problems already with the packaging and people not happy with the ones that aren't smooth because people think they are used. She seemed irritated about it.

She also said they were told to keep these capped tightly at all times, as they will dry out. I really hope that takes awhile to happen. They are truly beautiful.

I picked up 4 ( Coil, Love Power, Infra Violet, and Superwatt)

Superwatt seems like something else I have...hmm Anyone know a dupe that might resemble that?

Finally got to see these today. 'Love the texture - definitely not so good for blending down, but it's great for building up in layers. I particularly loved the bright colors, which look very natural on, compared to standard powder shadows in similar shades (which can look awfully powdery on my dry skin). I would say it's an enhanced version of the Metal X texture - that's the closest I can describe it to, and I found the application technique to be pretty much identical.

It's sort of a very thin putty texture, so you could certainly slather too much on and get weird clumping - 'tried Dynamo in-store over a paint pot and that was a disaster - better off to just wear over moisturized eyes with no base, although I am going to try them over Prep + Prime Vibrancy Eye, which ought to work fine.

One nice thing - when removing, even the super glittery ones do not leave glitter residue all over the face. These will be good sparkle that won't irritate the eyes.

I chose Blacklit (what an amazing beetle shell black), Dynamo (finally a nice coral that doesn't look powdery or dry - great used all the way up to the brow), Infra-Violet (like Dynamo, it's a perfect texture for a bright pink like this...makes it extremely wearable for older eyes and can be applied lightly up to the brows without looking clownish) and Fashion Circuit (this is a hell of a peacock green and insanely pigmented).

I passed on all the neutral shades, since I'm very picky about nude colors - they don't always do much to enhance my natural coloring or skin texture so they have to be perfect or I skip. Superwatt was beautiful, though, for the right skin tones. Electroplate was an amazing grey, but almost exactly the same color as that silver grey paint pot from Champale, except without the glitter chunks...I might go back for it, very tempting.

I didn't like the purple - it was a little too ordinary. Same with the cobalt blue and the yellow. That's OK, since 4 of these is plenty. We did hunt all over the packaging for some sort of expiration date and couldn't find one.

How are you applying these? I can't seem to find the right brush. Thanks for the help.

I have used the 252 and actually like it with them for an all over wash of color. The 286 blends well with them, much better than the 224 or 217. I also like the 234. It might just be my favorite for them. Stiffer works better but the 234 seems to apply and blend them nicely!

Went to MAC tonight and swatched these. I thought I would end up with Coil, and I did. I also thought I would end up with Dynamo, but ended up with Fashion Circuit... I do not feel like I am lemming any of the others. Not in love with these (colors not that exciting), but wanted to try. Maybe that will change after I wear them. I am not sure what I will use to apply these. I am thinking my finger at this point!

Well I got to see my BL and my Dynamo, they arrived perfect. So now I have 5 of these lol. I don't really have any brights like these so I am glad they are not dupes in my collection. Plus, the texture is fun. Weird that MAC still has Dynamo and IV as coming soon. I got both of mine from Nordies. I wonder if this is hurting MAC as they probably have a smaller profit margin when people shop at the department stores instead of from them directly. I like MAC's site and that they offer free shipping often and their upgraded shipping is reasonable but this isn't a good move on their part, unless it's not their fault and they have a shortage of those two. Actually, I just thought of that. Maybe there's an issue with those two and they didn't have enough stock as I doubt they want to miss out on sales. Sorry for the rambling lol.

Tried love power today and I am in love with the formula and look of these! I wore it over nars eyeshadow base. I applied it with a 242 and then applied neo nebula in the crease with a 286. Love the results and the fab sheen. The texture reminds me of when I am using a pigment and I mixing it with a mixing medium (I use inglots mixing medium). I will defo be going back for more shades. My one negitive comment would be the packaging. I would of loved to have seen these in paint pot jars- I just think the glass jars look and feel more decadent and the packaging would match more of my collection

These shadows are on macys site. Dynamo and infra violet too.
With the nature of these I'd try and not buy from them online. Macys is horrible at packaging makeup. They never have any cushioning so the makeup moves around. They just throw it into a padded envelope.

Did an eyelook using Coil today. BE Nude Glow primer shadow to brow bown, UD Buck on lid, Coil in crease, MUFE 9k eyeliner with Dark Horse over top, UD Virgin inner Corner, MAC Handforged bottom lashline. Since many of you said that a stiffer brush works better, I used a Chanel brush from Illusion De Ombre, Illusoir, and it worked well. I never use the brush with Chanel because it easier to highlight the browbone with my finger...but felt for crease work the brush was good with Coil. I then blended out with a regular Sephora crease brush.

Even though the bloggers had messed up ones none of mine have had issues. Some were even shipped from a counter with no padding or wrapping and they made it just fine. Plus, I live in the desert where it has been in the 100's since May. Maybe the promo samples were exposed to something crazy or there was an issue that is fixed now.

I've seen some at the counter that looked like the ones the bloggers received. And a couple of my friends ordered them online from Nordies and received a couple of messed up ones. It's not a big deal b/c they can be easily nudged into place, but I don't think it can be said that it was simply the samples they received. I think it's just the nature of the product.

I've mentioned it before, but MAC should have really included a plastic stopper like the ones L'Oreal includes w/ the Infallibles. It would prevent product from shifting around.
