Piar you are GORGEOUS! I'm trying to work up the courage to start wearing lipstick. Probably not a good idea for me to start with brights, but I'm just feeling bold right now. I saw a gorgeous YouTuber in CYY and I'd love to try her look. I think I need to wait until my Prep + Prime arrives so my lips are on point though. (And I need to get my hands on CYY.) I also need to invest in a few lip liners. NYX seems to have a good selection. I hope they sell it near me.

On me CYY doesnt look neon at all. It just looks like the perfect bright pink for my skin tone, the most wearable of my brighter pinks. And I got like 10. I barely use those, cos this is such a good fit.

I had an old brush, it was 101 powder brush, I lost it last month, I was so sad because I can`t buy it anymore anywhere and 150 is nothing like it

Omg I love how candy yum yum is just a color that suits every skin tone; I really really hope it's restocked I've become such a cyy stalker and got every shade I heard matched it! Please pm me if anyone hears of a restock or wants to sell or trade, I got moxie but no luck w cyy.

Exactly! I didn't realize that until now and I've fallen hard and fast for the makeup world. It's like living art and makeup is the paint. I get excited seeing all of the colors, brushes and palettes. In fact, I think my painting skills might have improved from what I've learned about makeup application. It's essentially the same principles, but applying the techniques on a 3-dimensional form just make the concepts more real and tangible.
Yeah, those schools have excellent reputations but are crazy expensive. I stayed local, but the school I went to still had a high price tag. I was fortunate to have a full scholarship to cover my costs. I have friends who are still paying off their student loans.

I was bummed to have to go to the state art school, VCU, as opposed to the two others I got into: RISD and MICA. Little did i know that VCU would become the number 1 public art university in the United States. Booyah. I learned so much about art, color, form, etc. but as a 'grown-up', I don't have the space or time for stretchers, sculptures, etc...and I've always loved makeup and nails. It's great to use those mad skillz on the body. and P.S. I still have insane student loans.

Yes, makeup is art, too! We play with colors and textures. We use pencils, brushes and color wheel. LOL

Oh OK. MAC 117 showed up in the description when I hovered over the pic and it was being used on the lips, so I thought that was it.
I LOVE cartoons! Grew up watching them and still do. I also make them for a living. I'm an animator. Plus my sense of fashion is very cartoony. I like bright, colorful things.

You can also try to find the 321 at a CCO. It's d/c, but I've seen it in plenty locations lately. I snagged up a few of them as it is one of my favorite lip brushes.
