I thought that I moved onto other collections, but I'm still debating whether or not I want need Stratus. Gotta comb through all the swatches and color combos and see if it would work on me!!! I'm currently NC35ish w/ my summer skin, will probably drop back down to a NC25 come fall (or whatever passes for fall in SD). Is it a MUST HAVE? Or can I just focus my attention on all the current/upcoming fall collections?

(btw, just noticed that this thread finally hit # 3. haha)

I went and backed-up Venus again from Nordies, since my first tube is already almost "1/2 full" heehee
When I was on there, I noticed they don't have LY anymore. I don't want to say goodbye to this collection.... but it is sadly disappearing!

You know.... I have been loving these MSF's SO MUCH I have almost completely neglected the blushes! I'm NC30/35 as well... I'll make a point to use Stratus tomorrow and let you know what I think of it! I got all the blushes except SR, and have only used SN one time! Stratus AND RoS need to get some of my love!!

Oh my gosh...how do you burn through lippies so quickly? I reapply throughout the day but I never seem to finish mine. When I only had about three in my rotation it took me a solid year to get through most of them.

I almost wish I could get through them sooner. Then I wouldn't feel like I have far too many to indulge in more.

I think it's b/c Venus is a lustre finish. It doesn't last as long, so I have to reapply more often. I'm almost halfway done w/ my Venus as well, but all of my other lippies have a LONG WAY to go.

Yay, that's one vote for Stratus!
Thanks, looking forward to your thoughts. I know what you mean. I used RoS a lot, because it was my first item from this collection, but once I got the MSFs, I've really ignored RoS. Hmm, makes me wonder if I'd actually use Stratus, haha.

That makes sense. I just checked my Fire Sign and that's down quite a bit more than Sail la Vie.

You know, I waited so long to try Venus and did an actual on lip swatch today. My thinking was that it wasn't terribly unique and I feel sort of meh on the Lustre finish in general, it just does't wow me, but this is actually pretty unique. I can't think of a single dupe for this lippy that appears in the tube to be a midtone, somewhat neutral pink neither leaning yellow, red or blue. The finish is really pretty and it is surprisingly pigmented for a Lustre. Glad I listened to the hype on here. Specktra peeps,

Yeah, the Lustre finish disappears quickly! PLUS I have probably used ONLY Venus every day since I've gotten it!! With all the different cheek products I've been playing with, Venus is just such a nice everyday color that really seems to work with almost everything!! So now I have my "half full" tube and 2 BU's... YAY!!

I don't buy Lustres, Frost and Cremesheens anymore.

Don't like the finishes even though the colors may be gorgeous (Musky Amethyst, anyone? LE).

IDK about y'all but I seem seem to zoom through the Frost and lustre l/s so fast because they disappear so quickly on the lips.

For some odd reason my lips dislike Cremesheens - too weird! - no matter how much prep them.

ITA. I put myself on a Lustre finish no buy because I had at least 25 of them and they just don't last, although I love the creaminess and the shine. Creme in Yr Coffee is a lovely Creamsheen but I notice they leave my lips really dry. Love the pigmentation, hate the dryness. Amplifed is a great finish. Glaze is good for a wash of sheer color. Frost I either love or hate, usually it looks too metallic for me to rock it every day. I have been trying to focus on the Amplified, Satin, Matte, and Mattene instead and luckily MAC has come out with some doozies this year.

My favorites too. I haven't tried the mattenes yet, but I'm sure I would love those too.

I got my Light Year and Center of the Universe BU. I don't know how I feel about my BU. I wish it had more swirls of the coral and copper colors like my first one. But I do like my Light Year. The color is more peach than pink when it first touches my skin, then it blends away to a soft gold sheen. I wonder if this is how the Marilyn Monroe Beauty Powder will be? It's pretty, but I don't feel that I need a BU of Light Year. I'm happy to have the entire MSF set, but I still don't feel complete. I need to track down a more pink Aurora. To be continued...

I just want to quickly mention that Universal Appeal is reaaalllly pretty. From Ts swatches I thought it was going to be a pretty basic cool purple-brown frost, but what you can't see from pictures is that there is a really rosy pink woven in...like tiny fuchsia shimmers, and it really makes the color something special. I thought it was going to be a totally dupable color, but it's actually quite unique! And you don't need tons of the purple to get this pink sparkle, I bought 2 diff ones (one w lots of brown and one with more purple/gold) and somehow they still swatch very similarly. If you are into deep taupes, purples, burgundy-browns, etc then I recommend checking UA out. It is a really gorgeous everyday rich neutral, and you can swing the color in a lot of different directions. Great w Added Goodness, Hyperviolet, Morning Frost, Half Wild, etc! Also lovely w golds.

Is it anything like Rare Find?

My Meteoric has maybe 1/3 left - less than Star Quality and Double Dare. I think I got one that wasn't quite full and didn't notice though because I haven't worn it nearly as much as the others.

I've been working through SQ and DD this summer. I thought I'd get through them but I'm getting bored of gloss and lemming my more opaque fall transitional shades. I could be through SQ, DD and Meteoric by the end of September if I tried. I probably should but I want to get back to my old friends and play with my new stuff. :)

Same here. I forgot about glaze.

Don't buy those either.
