I've never used Ruby Woo beyond swatching it. I know it's a Mac fave, but I've never had the urge to buy it.

I have Ruby Woo and I think it's a lot dryer than CYY!!! I remember temptalia commenting on the softness of CYY - as in it was one of mac's new matte formulas. CYY doesn't make me want to reach for my lip balm every 10 minutes.

I've skipped out on Ruby Woo and Lady Danger. RW I just don't feel compelled to buy and LD I have Sail La Vie and Scarlet Ibis, so I don't feel I need to add Lady Danger to my stash because of the other two.
Edit: I forgot to include. I DO find CYY a little more drying than my other mattes, but it is not unbearably dry. I would say I get about an hour and a half of wear before I feel like my lips are drying out. Pink Pigeon and Ruffian Red last longer than that on me, and don't feel as drying.

I would've never thought to pair a blue liner with a purple lipstick! I'm so intrigued by this now. I was once told by a MUA to pair a purple liner with coral/orange lipstick. That's anther combination I wouldn't have tried on my own.

I know right? At first when she said it, I was like 'Huh??". LOL! I was hoping my husband didn't look over at me as I was putting Hi Def Cyan on my lips because I just know how he would've looked at me. LOL!
That purple liner, coral/orange lipstick idea sounds like it would make for a very interesting ombre look.

Is the new CYY as dry as Ruby Woo? I don't have the original CYY but people are saying the newer one is creamier than the old one.

That's interesting. I'll have to try that! Earlier this week I wore Razzledazzler lipstick, Supercontinental blush and UD's Asphyxia eyeshadow with Moth Brown in the outer V. It was interesting but I loved it! Purples and corals might be my new fav combo!

I only own the new Candy Yum-Yum, however, I notice the texture of it is not as dry like Ruby Woo.

Thank you babe...so sweet!...if I was asked that question about what would u have to take on an island, if u could only have 3...mascara would be the number one answer! I think mascara can completely change ure face out of all products!

I kind of regret not getting Moth Brown, but I know I need to use up some of my stash before I start buying more stuff. I have a LOT of eyeshadows that I fairly similar.
A little OT, but does anyone know of a good source to figure out pricing for makeup? Particularly things like older MSFs and LE pigments from after the jar switch. I tried searching LJ and eBay, but I think some of the things I have don't go up for sale very often or if they do, they're incredibly overpriced. Any help would be appreciated!

I have Hi Def Cyan - I don't know why I thought you all were talking about the magenta chromagraphic pencil.
Geez - another example of too much makeup!
Blue & purple - makes sense - I'm thinking of where they fall on the color wheel.
Purple & orange - hmmm interesting.
Must give these a try!
I love all the wonderful tips I find in these forums!
