MAC for Marilyn

I'm kinda anxious about the event tonight. Even though there's been pictures floating around, there's been nothing to my satisfaction as far as the quality of pictures. I need to see it with my own eyes and so, more than any other event, I feel like I'm going in blind. I'm not going to rule anything out b/c I don't want to walk away with regret, wait for the online launch, or try to rush back when this thing officially hits counters. My store said they'd let people in in 30 minute intervals and I'm not buying that. It's gonna be a hot crowded mess. I hate the idea of people crowding me and some people get so gross with the testers and it all goes to hell real quick. I'm gonna try to be the first in, swatch everything quickly, step back and look at it and make my choices. I'm gonna swatch everything. Then, I'm going to get the hell out of there.

but red is red so there are tons of dupes, so i'm not surprised. I look at it like this; If you don't get a collection color, you will find something else MAC offers to get that MM look. The only special thing about this collections is MM and her legacy with makeup.

If that would be the case, they should close this particular location.

Nah, I think MAC just takes limited quantities to new extremes. This gives them a lot of buzz and people will be super alert - or shall I say paranoid - for the next collection once they missed out on a hyped item.

Just called my store where I'm going to the event tonight. Asked again about the discount. At first she said no, that sometimes their regulations are different from the website. Then her manager checked and, of course, YES the discount applies. Good grief. Lol They also told me they would not put anything on hold and they got in very limited quantities. Way less than what they expected for an event night. So, I ordered 2x bp (one for my mom), SI, LG and PZ online. I'll swatch the e/s and blushes tonight. Those won't move as quickly and now I won't miss out on my must haves.

BP x2, Showgirl & PB e/s, TPC blush, LG x2, CIS (wasn't going to get this but damn Skin Twin Sista Shellcat lured me in!), DA, and my SI (BACKUP!!!)

GD is now haunting me, since I know that haul with be FIERCE!!!

So weird. I had a live chat with MAC UK and apparently the pro discount doesn't apply to Marilyn in the UK. I hate that rules differ per country...
