I was able to get my money back for the wrong lipstick instead of waiting to exchange it and I could buy Rosy Crazy at another counter, so I already got it yesterday. It's such a gorgeous pinky red! I didn't have time to take a picture but I will do later. I bought Beet the day before yesterday to go with it, but since I didn't have it yesterday morning already I tried Beet underneath Runaway Red. Why didn't I get Beet before?! I love love love it underneath Runaway Red!
Thanks for the review Cartoonchic. I swatched Palpitante next to the YSL Rose Crazy when I was searching for a new lippie and Rose Crazy was a bit more pink just like you say Love Goddess is. Now I'm even more sure Rose Crazy could be a dupe except that it's matte and Love Goddess is a satin.First off, I love every single lipstick! I didn't take pictures of my swatches because there isn't enough light, and there's already plenty of great swatches posted. I did take a picture of my box. I moved the black tissue paper to find the lipsticks all lined up. I didn't arrange them that way. That's exactly how they looked on their own. I don't know why that tickles me so much!
ILove Goddess. It pulls more pink on me (
) and is actually really close to Chanel Palpitante. I did a side by side comparison on my lips. Palpitante's formula feels better on my lips and has more sheen than Love Goddess. Palpitante is also a smidge more red, so they're not exactly the same. Revlon Cherries in the Snow is another close color, but Cherries in the Snow has a smidge more fuchsia. I'm very happy with Love Goddess because it's a lot more red than my other deep pinks (Moxie and Girl About Town), but still more pink than Palpitante.
Scarlet Ibis is a beautiful orange-red. I'm so happy to finally have this lipstick. Not much else to say from what's already been said. The color is just like Sail La Vie, but the matte finish makes a big difference in my book. I also compared it to Chanel Incandescente out of curiosity. Incandescente is definitely a red-orange and isn't matte, so that makes it too different from Scarlet Ibis for me.
Ooooo Charmed I'm Sure! It's such a great looking red. Plus the matte finish too. Love it. It is not the same as Runaway Red on me. Aside from the sheen of its satin finish, Runaway Red is definitely darker. I have the Runaway Red from Mac Me Over. Not the one from Shop/Cook, so I don't know if that makes a difference.
Deeply Adored is a lovely deep red. I agree that the color is like Rocker on me, except Rocker has the glitter flecks. I'm happy about that because it's a great I-mean-business power red. I like having a version of the color without glitter for more options. Surprise, surprise --> Deeply Adored is also the matte version of my Runaway Red! That I didn't expect. I also compared Deeply Adored to Chanel Pirate, and was further surprised to find that Pirate is actually closer match to Charmed I'm Sure.
It should be noted that there's something a little extra special about the Chanel lipsticks. The colors are more complex and not as flat as MAC when I do my side by side comparisons. But they're part of my lipstick stash along with Revlon, so I compare everything I have to see what's similar.
