Love Goddess is still available in Australia if you wanted me to get it for you?

I'm so heartbroken yall....I just received an e-mail from Macy's about my Love Goddess that they're supposed to send to me...they're saying it's no longer in stock!
crybaby.gif

After waiting in line for over 2 hours on launch day, doing the Search & Send process with an very unhappy Mac artist, and then fixing her mistakes she made on my order with Macy's customer service on the phone, this is the result. I'm truly, truly heartbroken over this, since I personally feel like I went through a lot of trouble to get the lipstick, but there's literally nothing else I can do...At least Mac Glamour Daze is coming soon, and there's some lovely lipsticks from that collection that'll probably be more easily accessible.

Does anyone know of a good dupe for Rich Rich Rich? It looks like such a gorgeous champagne, cool-toned gold, but $17.50 is so pricey for a nail polish to me.

Wow. This person has sold 133 items and still has 152 available. How in the heck did they get soooooo many items?

Yeah, that kind of stuff really makes me wonder what the hell is really going on.

Im sTill so bummed I missed out on this Collection. I've been waiting for months for this 1 ,was up till 2am the night/day it went online ,and barely missed it by an hr when it went up at 6-7am. I went to my local mac counter right when it opened ,and already had a huge line with 1st 4 people getting almost everything.. Also been going through an awful separation,I was hoping to get this to cheer me up, but I guess it's just not meant to be with this collection. Guess I better look into my search for a new place/new life with my Lil one. Xo
I am so sorry things are hard right now.

Do you mind listing the ingredients that contribute to the Beauty Powder's magic?
I am not familiar with a lot of cosmetic ingredients, I only know the basics, so I had to look up most of the FM BP ingredients in a cosmetic dictionary and make sure I had the spelling correct on each one. It's like looking at a foreign language! So, I am already confused again on what ingredient does what, but the 2 that I remember that I thought possibly contributed to the positive BP reviews were:
1) Nylon-12: absorbs oil, feels silky, and doesn't settle into fine lines or wrinkle. This probably contributes to the "soft-focus" look of the BP.
2) Bismuth Oxychloride: powder that has a shimmery, pearlescent finish. This may be what gives the great "glowy" finish everyone keeps talking about with the FM BP. I read that this is a key ingredient in most "mineral" makeup, but some people with sensitive skin can react to it. What I read is that this ingredient is good in small amounts in a product. I think this ingredient was near the end of the FM BP ingredients so I am thinking there is only a small amount of it in the FM BP.

Hope that info is helpful CartoonChic! :)

I can't believe how much I LOVE Showgirl and Preferred Blonde! I'm sooooo glad my sister talked me into to purchasing them.

This is the third time I've worn them and man - I can't get enough of it!

I tried to find a dupe or match of Showgirl in my collex yesterday and came up blank.

None of the blues or grays that I own come close.
It is just like Love Lace but that was long discontinued. I now have a bu to Love Lace which I am thrilled with.

My MM haul is finally done!!! My LG came from Bloomie's today! Ordered it when it came out, "shipped" (<--I use that term loosely) on 10/4. And just received it today! Wooo hoooo! My final haul comes to LG, CIS, SI, Legendary, TPC, and FM. Can't wait to play w/ my items this weekend when I go out!!!!!!!!

I don't know if I'll ever order from Bloomie's again, it was WAY to stressful! But I did get my LG, so I guess it wasn't toooo bad!

It's very different. The SMP is an almost translucent powder that is semi-matte, whereas FM has a more noticeable sheen. I consider the former as a setting powder and the latter one a finishing powder. HTH.
Hmm, based on this I don't think I want to give my typically oily skin a sheen. I wish I could glow without looking greasy, but I haven't mastered that look yet. Guess I'll just stick to my mattes for another 20 years. So boring.

Michele,

Thanks for the info!

I didn't pick up Love Lace - at one point I was stoically against LE products but as you can see I've long since changed my mind!

These are such huge shadows - I doubt I'll ever finish one!

Hmmm -I wonder how long it would take to use these up if worn every single day???

Dunno if I can help you here, but.. I have a suuuuuper oily t-zone. Like oil-slick disgustingly gross t-zone. and I'm using the BP and it's beautiful. I have some-what found an decent-ish routine, it's not perfected, however my routine is as follows: Apply moisturiser. Let soak in, apply eye primer, let soak in, apply face primer - Cover FX Mattifying primer, do eye makeup, then go back and add UD pore perfecting primer on t-zone, let it soak in a moment, apply foundation/concealer, I use blot powder on tzone due to oils etc and then I apply the BP lightly. Don't get me wrong the oil isn't gone 100% but I'm only touching up 1-2x a day maximum with blotting powder and the BP gives me the glow without looking greasy.

I'm really low maintenance on products. I hate having lots of steps and things to put on, but I'll look into some of the products you mentioned. I once had a little boy ask his mom why I was sweating. Talk about mortifying.

To be honest, it's only a case of Moisturise, Prime and powder. It's the delay in between that makes it seem longer. If you don't have large pores, you could skip the UD primer. I've just found from letting everything sink in for a few minutes rather than just applying straight away has really helped. The Cover FX one isn't cheap, here in the UK I paid £40 for it I believe, but I've had it since April and I still have plenty left - in saying that I don't wear make-up daily though. I don't use much though. It does have salicylic acid in it, as it's an acne treatment as well, which I've noticed really helps my skin so I'm currently trying to look up cleansers/toners/moisturisers that also have salicylic acid to switch to. I can imagine it being mortifying. I am constantly fanning myself with a piece of paper to cool myself down as I fear ever moving and doing anything that would cause me to even slightly sweat as it makes my oils worse.

I have really oily skin and I notice the BPs do make the oilies keep at bay. I am really happy with my purchase.
