Yeah, I know you need to spend $350/year to qualify for VIB status. I was saying that I would need to spend that much now in order to qualify for the VIB 20% sale next month. Spreading out that much over a year is a lot more doable, but I don't shop at Sephora too often. Ulta is closer to me and that's where I purchase my drug store brands. I do see myself switching some of my other makeup purchases over to Sephora though.

Last year, the friends and family sale was online October 20 - November 2. It looks bleak, but I haven't completely lost ALL hope (yet).

I don't think I'll make the VIB this year for the $350.

I spent $76.00 in January and this past weekend I spent $92 when I was in Toronto. So I would still need to spend $182 before January....


And yes the VIB 20% off sale is in November every year.

Usually the sale are only valid in store and not online for Canadian customers, which pisses me off to no end as I would cost me more in travel expenses to go to a store to take advantage of it. Last year VIB barcode I gave to someone else in the US to use as it was useless to me.



I was looking forward to the F&F sale but they are just getting ride of the 20% for everyone (it's only for employes this year) and going with the random code generator. People have been hounding their Facebook page about it (and most of the comments are being removed for asking this question.)

I am not a fan of people deleting inoffensive comments simply because they don't agree with them. Sephora is LAME for this.

First I think they should have address the issue at least a month in advance so people would not have thought they would get the usual 20% off. That would have given people time to get use to the idea that its not happening. Instead it was a guessing game and people went and made lists and got all excited for nothing.

Second I wish they'd increase the 20% off anyway because it just doesn't seem "fair" that the VIB 20% off is the same as the regular, in my opinion. At least do 30%/20%, I mean I want to feel a little bit special that I spent too much money in your store in a year.

Yea I feel you, I had my shopping list ready to go. I wonder if they just haven't updated their site yet. Has it been officially confirmed that the FF sale is only for employees this year? Any Sephora employees out there have access to the sale?

If I had any information to share about a sale at Sephora, it would be on the blog front+center. Sephora has sent no info re: F&F to me.

As long Sephora keeps the 20% VIB sale in November, I'm all good. Honestly, I'm not in a rush to buy anything NOW. I would just be buying things because they were on sale, not because I need anything. The only things I'm running low on are skincare items and they will last me until November.

I'm hearing that the Nov 8th date is BI/VIB customer appreciation, and BIs get 15% off and VIBs get 20% off and early access.

What a shame they're strict about the sale this time around! On the other hand, I'm through my beauty spendings budget for this month anyways, so November VIB sale works out better for my wallet.

I think Sephora is going to miss out on a lot of sales now, because 10% off doesn't quite cut it...

Well I only had one thing I wanted which was the mufe hd foundation; and I kinda wanted the Cinderella palettes I love anything Disney but had to scratch everything off since its only immediate f&f and I don't know anyone that works there.......oh well money saved

I don't think it's true. Gift cards are considered a form of payment, similar to cash or credit card. I've used gift cards with discounts, but I wouldn't be able to stack a 20% off VIB deal with a 10% from spinning the wheel (just an example).

It's amazing how quickly my list shrunk when I thought there was no VIB sale. The only thing I kept on my list were 2 MUFE matte shadows, YSL touche eclat, brush cleaner and UD all nighter mini. It's also quite amazing how quickly I turned my interests to Chanel Rouge coco shines, glossimers and extrait de gloss. Just trying to narrow down my immediate wants

Ooh, there's nothing like Chanel but I won't even get into that here. Nordstroms has a special edition touche eclat that I must get my hands on. They do it every year and I got one from 2011. I was hoping my local Nordstroms would have it, but they don't. I doubt Sephora will get it, so I have to order it. :sigh:
