Actually, I think they'll work a lot better on you than the warmer toned among us. I can't wear CIS - it's way too pink for me. Even DA is pinky on me, but I can get away with that one. If you like Fire Sign, I think you'll like CIS. The pink undertone is stronger and has a very different finish, but it will probably look great on you. It's a gorgeous shade and I love the finish - I wish it worked for me.Ok. Call me crazy, but I have unopened CIS and DA sitting in my drawer. I just can't decide if I should give them a try, or keep them unused for swapping/selling. I don't wear reds usually, and haven't had good luck with reds that I've tried in the past. OTOH, I've worn LG twice, and got compliments each time So, back to the untested reds - do you guys think they would work on me, I'm NW20, brunette, brown eyes. My skintone is very pink. Should I give them a try? I did try DA at the MAC store, but couldn't make up my mind. Some red-ish lipsticks I love are VG Cyndi, Fire Sign and Laugh a Lot.
Keep me in mind for the CIS pleeeeease?!I got my shipment notification for Charmed I'm Sure! I will be selling that lipstick too once I get it for those ones that missed out on the restock again and only shipping it out to anyone that lives in the US.
Girl, you are craaayzee haha. Give them a shot.Ok. Call me crazy, but I have unopened CIS and DA sitting in my drawer. I combined them, too. I also used PM with Moxie (even though it's too cool for it), because all the other liners I have seemed too red/pink/orange. Is there a good liner for Moxie?I prefer pairing LG with process magenta liner to bring out the pink in it. On my skin that is much prettier than pairing it with beet, which makes it redder. Both liners give a totally different effect. Question: whose LG smells weird? Mine smells different from all other MAC lipsticks? Not like it has gone bad per se, but just...?
hey Medgal, what brush do you use for the bp?You crack me up CartoonChic! It sounds like you're doing it correctly, trying out brushes to see which works best for you, etc. Just based on your photo/avatar you look more NC than NW. I'm glad you got the BP and hope you'll try more in the future.....
I use any one of the following, in no particular order other than I like to use/give all of my brushes some love: 128, 129, 134, 150, 182, 179 & 188. I also use a Laura Mercier fan brush. If I feel as though I've been using one or the other too often, I switch up. I do prefer a larger brush to give a light dusting to pull the entire look together w/o giving me an artificial look.hey Medgal, what brush do you use for the bp?
The 128 is pretty versatile, and works well for me for both wet and dry products. The 234 has become my go to blending brush, perhaps because it's not as wide as the 224, and gives me a tad more control when blending. My skills are evolving and I need all the help I can get.I have the 128 and 234, but I haven't used them yet. I didn't get them when they initially launched last year. I picked them up July of this year. I remember Mac Guy saying something useful about them, so I tracked them down and saw that Nordstrom still had them in stock (they still do!). But I can't remember what was said about them to make me get them in the first place. I think it had something to do with the Heavenly Creature collection.
I do it the opposite. Do you think it works better doing it this way?I have the 234 - I use it for concealer. I apply with the natural side and then set with powder using the synthetic side. It's a nice size for that area.

Do you apply the Beauty Powder before your makeup or after?I use any one of the following, in no particular order other than I like to use/give all of my brushes some love: 128, 129, 134, 150, 182, 179 & 188. Awwww. I've had three yorkies all at different times over the years. I love the breed. I had my last one for 16 years and I still haven't gotten over losing her. She was sweet and not yippy-yappy like some small breeds tend to be. My husband said he'd get me another one but I don't want another one. I want her.My baby is too small lol he can't pick anything up but some socks (he's a yorkie) wish he could though that's cute
If I'm using it as a highlighter I put it on after my foundation, and on top of my P & P light boost that I've applied under my eyes in a large triangle. I actually use the light boost pen to draw the triangle, fill it in with the light boost product and then blend it really well with the 130 SH. I then put the beauty powder on with my 116. If I'm using it as an overall face powder, I put it on after everything...including MSF, contour cream & powder and blush, this time with a larger face brush.Do you apply the Beauty Powder before your makeup or after?
I haven't used a lip pencil with it yet, but I would use a brown one close to my skin tone. Probably MAC Cork or a NYX brown liner.

I use NYX Pinky l/l for Moxie and it works wonderfully! HTHI combined them, too. I also used PM with Moxie (even though it's too cool for it), because all the other liners I have seemed too red/pink/orange. Is there a good liner for Moxie?
