Hepcat seem's to be very hit and miss. Bought one from Overstock and it was turrible lol. Found it at my CCO and it's just like butter. You might could have some duds!

...I got my first Hepcat in a pot and it was horrible and later I got another one in a pan and it is great!

Now I use the dud over paint pots and it is ok LOL

That's a pro item right? I'll pick one up the next time I visit.

I subject my dud shadows (MAC and non-MAC) to the Fix+ treatment to see if they behave any better as eyeliners. They often do but Mixing Medium should deliver more consistent results.

re: Atlantic blue - that bad is it?

yes its pro. are you in the states its in the regular site. i have nerver tried with fix plus, i really hope mixing medium works well. i have been wanting to get the illamasqua and MUFE ones too, but ill see, the mufe one is kind of expensive $21 compare to $12 for mac and $15 for the 2 droppers that illamasqua gives.

i hate atlantic blue. its dry, patchy, i cant make it work and i cant believe that thing exists!!! its a pretty color so i cant wait to try it as an eyeliner.

No, I live in the Netherlands so I think it's only available at the pro store.

re: Fix plus - I bought it to keep my makeup in place but I use it more to put misbehaving shadows in their place. I'm actually a bit reluctant to spray it on my entire face because it contains glycerin and I'm worried it might give me spots. I mean more spots. I have quite a few as it is, thank you! Instead I use UD All Nighter to fix my makeup.

re:MUFE - do you mean the liquid in the tiny tube? Aqua Seal, IIRC? I have it but I never used it. I bought it quite a while back when Sephora was doing a 20% or so discount on 2+ (or was it 3+?) items. Couldn't decide what to get, so I got Aqua Seal because I'd heard quite a few people say good things about it. They'd better be right because it was so darn expensive!

i finished my bottle of fix plus in the summer and i just got the ud oil control setting spray. i like fix plus with mes and when i do my mother's make up i use it to set the msfn. she loves it. sorry that it doesnt work on you but, never mind cause you use the ud one. haha

yes the aqua seal. is it really runny?? i like that its suppose to be waterproof but im not an eyeliner pro to use something that liquidy, like some people that use their aquarelle paints.

Aqua Seal is very runny. It's basically a thin liquid. That's actually why I never got round to using it to turn shadows into eyeliners. I'm worried that I won't have enough control over the amount that ends up in the shadow pan.

I'm not even sure if that is an appropriate use for the product. I think people usually put a small drop on a brush and sweep the brush over their completed eye makeup. That's probably why the product is so thin - otherwise it would smudge the makeup.

If my memory serves me well Benefit used to have something called Shellac many moons ago. It was also a thin liquid and it came with its own brush set, probably because the stuff was so harsh it melted regular brushes into oblivion. lol.

post-enlightenment edit - It's She Laq! Not Shellac. I shudder to think what would happen if someone tried to fix their makeup with Shellac!

Eep, I have one of those, bought it on ebay, but never ended up using it. Now I don't feel like even opening it. I have Smashbox On Set, and it does work really well. I used it to make feline stay in its place.

By the way, I think if you want to convert eyeshadows into eyeliners, you could try putting a drop of the liquid on like on glass or plastic surface and then dipping the brush with the eyeshadow into it?

That's it, I'm getting the Smashbox! If it kept Feline in place it must be very good stuff (I happen to have a hate-hate relationship with Feline).

After all this time, I still can't believe how gorgeous CYY is!

My sister, www.presstoblend.com, is wearing it today as part of her 31 days of pink challenge.

It is gorgeous on her!

MAC should make it permanent!!!
