Guerlain discussion

I think the container is actually more Glamour Daze than the actual Mac Glamour Daze packaging. :)

Thanks, tats!

Gosh that pic is gorgeous. I have no idea which color of Meteorites I should start with. I'm not sure I'd need all that Spring pink, but they're so pretty to look at and I like the container.

It's neat that the powder puff is included. I'll think I'll pass on the MAC Making Pretty powder for this one. I have a feeling I'm also going to end up repurchasing the Dragon ballz. This time online. I'm having a change of heart and they're still on my mind since I returned them.

I went to the Bay today and asked about the holiday collection -- they already had it, but didn't receive any testers so there was no visual indication that they had the collection!!

So I got the "Dragon Ballz" (last one in that store) and the eyeshadow quad.

Would have picked up the two lipsticks, the meteorites compact and the Liu compact if it was at Shoppers.
I was told today, by 2 big beauty boutique shoppers, that they are NOT getting Guerlain holiday makeup!!! I also have been saving points for this!!
SO bummed out, as many department stores don't ship alot of makeup to canada!!!

I'm thinking of buying the compact in 02 Teint Beige. Have you use the compact before? I swatched it at the store and the powder felt beautiful on the skin, but it's always nice to hear opinions from those who have actually used the product :)

Ta muchly! I first read about it on Temptalia and Christine seemed to be head over heels in love with it. What really drew me to it is that it's meant to be mattifying and illuminating at the same time. Being the proud owner of your typical combination skin I need something to keep the shine at bay. But having recently hit the big 3-0 I find that the really matte stuff are no longer my friend.

I'll definitely grab the Meteorites compact as soon as there are some sales going on (a little bird told me that ICIParisXL might have a discount on makeup soon).

They are very different. The compact is a mattifying powder, the perles are definitely more illuminating, more of a finishing touch. I keep the compact in my bag, it's very travel friendly, which the perles are not.

What about the compact vs. perles? Would you recommend one over the other?

Well maybe I should go with a compact if it mattifies and illuminates. Gosh I don't know what do do. I just know I want a discount on it. LOL. I won't be carrying it with me as I'm not a person who touches up much so that doesn't make a difference. Too bad I couldn't try them out. I'm always shopping blind for things.

I am confused too, well... The compact version is 120 € here, I am not a huge fan of Guerlain makeup ( their nail polishes look " low cost " ) but the Météorites and the Liu collection looks pretty. The compact is really pretty but so expensive ! They told me it was possible to refill it, ok for the price I hope so.

We're talking about the pressed powder compact not the voyage powders. These: http://pleasureflush.blogspot.co.uk/2011/01/guerlian-meteorites-illuminating-and.html

Yes, I have the Meteorites Illuminating and Mattifying Pressed Powder in 02 Teint Beige. It has very sheer coverage, and it mattifies but in a gentle way (not moisture sucking mattifying like a lot of powders). I keep it in my purse and use it for touch-ups on my t-zone.

I haven’t tried any of the Voyage compact powders yet. I was hoping to get Wulong with my banked Shoppers points, but it’s not going to happen.
