aww thanks, yes being a young mom i got judged a lot but always proved everyone wrong, being a teen mom (had my daughter at 17) wasn't easy but it sure makes you change the whole way you see life, you now have someone you actually call your own and there's just no way i see my life without them. I have a history of depression and use to think am i even worth being here in this world and now it's like i have every reason to be here and it's to be there for the lifes i gave. :heart2:

Or you can be an older mom like me and try to shave years off your age. Makeup helps.

I didn't have that problem with ETG. Perhaps it's what was on your nails before you polished them... did you wash your hands and let your nails dry first, then put on a base coat of some sort?

I have had that happen a few times before, but i knew it wasn't the polish itself, just that i hadn't prepped my nails right.

Lmao. I'm nearly 22! This is insanity! I hate surprises, last year I had NO idea what I was getting and my Mom had kept telling me all these horrible gifts she'd bought me, I didn't want to open any presents in fear I'd hate it and would have to pretend to love it. I actually nearly cried at one point saying "Don't make me open it" lol. S'ok, I did the same thing to her. I bought her a nice bag, told her it was a cloth bag with the rainbow colours all over it, like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Coat, she was dreading opening things as well.

I don't know why I worry, she always gets me things I love, but I still freak out, lol.

I do! She's my best friend. I know a lot of people say that but other than her I technically class myself as only having 2 friends (lots of accquaintances) - both of whom also have busy lives so see each other every couple months. I'd be crazy lost without her. At least I know part of my presents this year so I can't be too scared! Now if only I could get her into makeup, we'd be golden.

I find that so inspiring! Other people may try to judge you and make you feel small, but to your kids, you're the whole world, and they're what matters most! So happy your kids bring you that kind of joy.

I'm really close with my mom, too. She's actually the one who brought me to a MAC counter in the first place, way back in my senior year of high school for prom makeup. So anytime I get a big makeup haul, she just kind of smiles and shakes her head because she knows she created a monster!

YOu are tempting me. I need something to boost my mood this week. My house was broken into on Monday. Took my laptop, camera, and 3 Tiffany bracelets.

oh no! that's terrible!

a few weeks ago someone broke into the shed that is attached to my house. they didn't appear to have taken anything, though they broke the door handle to get in! more than anything, it really freaked me out that someone had been in my back yard, and walking on my verandah. the crazy thing is that they could just as easily have broken into my kitchen, as the windows are quite large and also off the verandah.

i keep meaning to backup the data on my laptop, as that's the only thing i think a (normal) thief would be interested in at my place. oh i guess my camera too. hopefully they'll just assume my makeup is a hoard of junk

Pursue your happiness. If make up makes you happy, why not do something with that? Being happy with what you do for a living is very important...
Thanks for the positive words That's also what I try to explain my parents now, but they don't really get how important and how happy makeup makes me. Luckily other people do see it and I'm sure that one day I can make them understand when I'm doing what I want to do!

At some point, you'll have to stop explaining and start doing - when they see how much happier you are, they'll get - or they may not. If it makes you happy and it fulfills you, that what matter's most. Everything else is just icing!

I wore RTP, ANF, and SM today. I put ANF on my lids, and it is a really pretty color. I wasn't going to get it. RTP is gorgeous, (puton the outside crease), but it reminds me of the purple in the shop/drop quad, and Stolen Moment is lovely, I put it in my inner crease. My only issue, is I hate when I wear ANY shade of purple how it makes everything I wear look like a purple and pink combo. Right now ANF is showing up pink.

I'm so sorry that happened to you.
