MAC for Marilyn

I did mention this earlier in the thread, but I'll say again, it would be great if MAC actually sold refillable limited edition compacts like marilyn and others with special packaging so then when the product is finished we could get a refill any other powder or similar product and still have the beautiful packaging..That would be just awesome!
I've seen a tutorial on how to remove the pan from the compacts, it looked not too hard to do. I think the girl took the powder out of the Heatherette compact and put in a MSF natural where the dome had been worn down. I intend to do this whenevever I actually end up using up a powder in one of the special packaging compacts.

No, unfortunately there's no CCO here. Either you buy the product online or in-store full price, of you do without.

Sparkly wouldn't work for me for full face application, but it sounds pretty.

I don't mind matte because my skin's natural oils are enough to soften that, even in dryer seasons like fall/winter. Besides, I think I'm too cheap for Elude.

I've never tried Careblend; maybe after I get through my stash I'll check it out. Now that I'm up to 5 (FIVE) FMs, I think that will take awhile.

I also have 5! Welcome to team 5

My skin's natural oils also soften the matte effect and at the end of the day I still look oily even with the mattest of the mattest powders:(

Am I the only one who is in love with Rich Rich Rich n/p? It's a really lovely taupey gold that is semi-opaque in one coat.

restock means I got a bottle of Stage Red. I honestly regretted not buying it and picking up the eyeshadows instead. Yeah I know MAC np are not known for being great
actually i really like mac nail polishes. i know they don't have a super glossy finish, but i feel i can achieve that with a good clear coat. i like the shades that mac puts out. they're often pretty edgy....and i like knowing that they don't contain phthalates and formaldehyde!

What powder do you use? I have tried Mac transparent set powder from pro and MSF natural, but I'm wondering if Blot powder would be a good one to try.
I've been using Blot Powder for years, but I lately I've found MUFE HD powder to be the most effective at blotting my t-zone; I got a small size with Sephora points and I quite like it. I also have Prep and Prime translucent powder in the makeup bag I keep in my purse. I try not to powder throughout the day because it just puts more and more makeup on. Instead, I'll use a couple of blotting papers throughout the day.

how much discounted are the CCO prices? The one's closes to me are a few hours away so I haven't been there since before I was into makeup. Wondering if making a trip is worth it.

I'm scared about my FM! I'm dangerously close to hitting pan on mine and I'm starting to stress! Is there anything that you may recommend that is similar? (I know earlier in the thread a couple of close dupes were mentioned) I wish I could just miraculously find another one! I've been checking Ebay but I just hate to spend that much...and reward an Evilbayer...

Thanks for your input! I guess the blot powder is not worth the try. Maybe I'll try the Kryolan Antishine one. I've heard good things about it.

Shame about Blot Powder. I was planning on giving it a whirl.

TheBalm also has a product called Sexy Mama. I read some pretty good things about it too.
