MAC Taste Temptations Collection (November 2012; December 2012)

There are other sites plus the MAC stores to buy this from people...

yeah....but those "other" sites tend to let you think that you've purchased items, and then they send you an email a few hours/days later saying that your order isn't going to be fulfilled. Also, at MAC stores and counters you often have a lesser likelihood of getting LE items than you do on the MAC site, because counters and stores get very limited stock of LE items.
Furthermore, I'm signed up for MAC text and email alerts- I didn't get an email (I never got a text) about this collection at 8AM this morning. This collection went up on their site 2 days ago.

Seductive Intent just arrived! Here it is against the other purples in my collection - Seductive Intent is the long line on top and then below L-R are Plumful, Plum Bright, Up the Amp, Violetta, Asian Flower, and CoverGirl Divine. Zen Rose on bottom because I just got that too and wanted to test it

Seductive Intent is closest to Divine on my arm (NW15-20) but on my naturally mauvey lips Divine leans more pink and has a drier, sheerer formula whereas SI goes on more blue-purple and has a creamy, opaque formula. SI wins hands down IMO!

a bit OT, but are lustreglasses as sticky as the lipglass formula?

Lustreglasses aren't nearly as sticky as lipglass! There's barely any tacky feeling at all with the lustreglass.

Don't forget Belk. The ebayers don't know about that one yet (and don't tell them). Hope everyone gets what they want. So we are all skipping the quad? I think I don't love blues enough to take a chance on a quad that may be chalky and has the dreaded Carbon in it. WWSD?

In case anyone is wondering about MAC shipping. I placed two order back to back on Sunday Night. The first order, which I didn't think went through, was at 11 somthing pm and 2nd day shipping, the second was 5 minutes later with regular shipping. Both boxes were on my doorstep last night... So I won't be paying for Second day, unless it is free.


I am not used to wearing my products without taking pics first, but, oh well, I wore Nocturnal Instincts with RIS... OMG BEAUTIFUL!!! I avoided purple for years... I got tired of it being the go to color for WOC. I really like the formula of the mattenes, and it is not giving me the old lady look the ones from last year did. ~cabbage patch~

so i just got my BROWN? box.

these are my first mattenes ever. i like the formula. my favorite one is nocturnal instincts, because of how original and diferent it is. on me its like dark grayed purple nude?? it almost looks rosy but i see the purple .i know WTF. the other 2 are ok, but common in my collection of never ending pinks and purples that are pink.

I agree S/I is not as dark as Herione at all. Herione is more purple....Seductive Intent reminds me of Up the Amp with a pink tan lol

i agree is not as pigmented as heroine too. i was going to post swatches but it looks like a bright pink in the pics that i took

I agree - that quad looks more tempting than some people's opinions of it might imply. I'm probably going to hold off, though, since I also agree that purplish blue is going to be huge this year and would rather wait and see if one comes out in a more favorite formula, like a new EDES or Electric Cool or (lord help us) a new Mega-Metal!

I'm going to use the blue from shop cook until something else comes along.

I also got my "brown" box today. I ordered SI & NI and I have to say I LOVE NI. There is something so pretty & flattering & different about it that my first thought after putting it on was to get a backup of it which is a thought I haven't had in the past year at least. Its definitely lavender on me but the grey makes it extremely neutral. I find it to be a unique color in my endless drawers of lippies. Sitting on my hands trying not to order that backup, lol

Lustreglasses aren't nearly as sticky as lipglass! There's barely any tacky feeling at all with the lustreglass.

I only have one Lustreglass, Pinkarat, so it's hard for me to judge. It seems to be as sticky as some of my Lipglasses, but not as sticky as others. It sparkles like crazy and is so pretty.
