MAC Après Chic Collection Discussion (December 2012)

I swatched the MES and lipticks this morning. Sorry, no pics. My camera phone won't show the colors properly with the mall lighting. I had to wipe the swatches off before leaving because they would get messed up while trying to keep myself warm. It was snowing.

The MES are all beautiful. I left with only Winter Pursuit and Frost at Midnight, but will go back for the other MESs later. Hot Chocolate does look like a more plum Glamourdaze in person. Apres Chic seems more like a red coral color to me. I wish I still had the swatches to compare to other lipsticks. I won't have my Apres Chic lipsticks until Friday.

Did you get Hot Chocolate or was it too close to Glamourdaze?

Thanks for the Hot Chocolate pic 0MissJones! I bet that it would be really pretty with MAC Plum lip liner- it'll bring the purple undertone out of the lipstick, but still let the lipstick remain neutral.

I love nude lips and I loved it cuz it wasn't pasty or peachy looking. It's a really natural color on my lips that are already pigmented. I want to also play with some glosses over top of it

Thanks for the pics! We have similar coloring and I'm always looking for a good nude lipstick. I just ordered HC this morning so if I love it I'm definitely backing it up.

I already ordered Hot Chocolate, but I think it's different enough from Glamourdaze to still get it. It pulls more plum than Glamourdaze.

luvlydee - I'm actually glad I skipped HC after seeing Jenrbelt's swatch. A little too brown for me. I'm sure it would look fine, but meh... I was able to get Glamourdaze on the restock so I'm happy with that.
