I actually think it looks lovely with your skintone but if it's not your thing then it's not your thing.

Agree with Corally re: Apres Chic

Ugh I'm still waiting for Douglas to put AC online! Bijenkorf doesn't have the lipsticks online and because I was waiting for Douglas so I can order my goodies there Après Chic was sold out on the MAC website. I should've just ordered on the MAC website.. now I'm afraid I'll miss out when I'm in the shower or when I'm going out to dinner tonight.

So happy I got my box in a week and like an hour before leaving for the weekend.

My haul (part 1) from this collection:

- Warm Companion, Haute Altitude, Hot Chocolate, and Apres Chic l/s
- Nice & Simple l/b
- Alpine Bronze and Amber Glow MB (AG is looking so peachy

)
- 287 brush (funny, it's like a mini 131!)

I already have N&S on my lips, haven't swatches anything yet, but will probably put AC on before leaving for home.

I just received my last boxes. Amber Glow will definitely be a highlighter on me (based on an early am bare face test). It might show more over BB cream, foundation or FM, but I don't think it could be a blush. It's subtle but pretty - I'm glad I got it.

I also received my backups of AC and Glamourdaze (woot!).

Went to the mall yesterday. I may have gotten another one two three of the lip balms.

Got a Stay Warm!, Rosy Romance, and a b/u of Pure & Tender.

Regarding SB, I think it's really interesting how vastly different it seems to look for many people. I've only worn mine once so far, and I wore it dry with a neutral base underneath, but I was shocked at how dark it came out. It's very grey-silver on me. Pretty, but not really what I was going for. As for it being a glitter-bomb, I found that mine doesn't look nearly as glittery on my eyes as it does in the pan or on my hand...unless I'm in certain lighting. If the light hits my eyes at the right angle, then the glitter is very apparent. It's an interesting formula, that's for sure!

also amber glow vs soft& gentle

also I tried to compare amber glow to some other mac blushes here: http://cheekmeout.blogspot.com/2013/01/mac-amber-glow-mineralize-blush-review.html

.. I need it in my life lol ugh
I was lucky enough to get Hot Chocolate and Haute Altitude from Nordstrom (from Santa Ana, CA location). Most Nordstroms around my neck of the woods were out, but not this specific one. Give them a call at (714) 972-2020 and see if they have any in stock still. This specific Nordstrom has a counter inside and a kiosk in the middle of the mall.

Also a freestanding MAC store in Brea, CA still has Hot Chocolate earlier this week (I called to put one in hold, but wound up never getting it since I used my Nordstrom Note instead). Their number is (714) 529-9337.

I'm not sure if both locations are sold out of it by now, but it's worth checking. Best of luck to you!

Thank you for the swatches! I have Light Year. I didn't think much of it when the collection came out during the summer, but it is a gorgeous MSF. I've been holding up from snatching Soft & Gentle, but it's just too pretty..

Thank you very much for the swatches, Monsy!

I thought that LY and AG would be way more different!

But I definitely prefer LY over AG since it is pinker, thus the better choice for me.

BTW, I am surprised at how sparkly AG is!!!

I usually avoid shimmer/sheen so I've never really looked at it. I was in love with the swatches of Redhead but didn't get it because I thought it would be too metallic/pore enhancing. Having said that, I absolutely ADORE Stereo Rose. I've worn it every day since I got it and I'm entirely comfortable with the sheen. I apply it with a fan brush after my blush and it's just enough colour and sheen.

I'll have to check out Soft and Gentle. Maybe I'll need to try tracking down Redhead (it was in CCOs recently) if it's no more metallic than SR. Does anyone have both? How similar are they?
