Chanel Spring 2013 makeup collection

Hi everyone! I hope this is the right place to post this. Has anyone heard anymore news about the Les Delices de Chanel collection? I know it's being released in Asia at the end of February but I can't find out if it's coming to the U.S. at all! I'm dying over that Camelia quad! TYIA if you have any info for me. I don't have the greatest time posting on here from my iPad so rarely do it. If I remember correctly I only have access to a limited number of smileys on there...but I think the mobile version of this site was changed recently too.....

Yes, but hubs hogs the regular ipad

so I wanted my own & I LOVE the mini size - its perfect! I want to download books to read on it too. I'm on my reg. computer now & I agree, its much easier using my regular computer on Specktra.

They were all sold out everywhere, but we could put a $50 deposit down to get one on waitlist at BestBuy, & it came in the very next day. I got the 32GB for extra storage.

Hello all!

Still a Chanel newbie but after looking through swatches of the new illuminating powder I knew I had to check it out. Emailed the Holt Renfew on Bloor Street in Toronto and the Spring 2013 collection will be launching on Tuesday January 22 (the boutique will be doing a party that evening, $25 for a ticket and that amount can be used towards a $75 purchase). I requested to put a powder on hold for me, yay! I'm not sure how fast products sell out since I was able to get Notorious weeks after it was released. Guess I'm too used to the MAC LE frenzy, but I didn't want to miss out on this item.

, but we hold our own, especially when something new or limited-geographically gets spied!

You should have no problems getting the highlighter, and IIRC, NM and Nordstrom also ship to Canada - both still have it as far as I can tell, if you get into a jam. The party sounds like fun!!

Hi Leeny! Fingers crossed that you get the powder! Usually Chanel doesn't sell out as quickly as the LE mac items. Almus - Congrats on obtaining your PhD and all the best for your new position! Anneri - You are courageous to do that, and be true to yourself. I know you mentioned earlier last year that you felt the job wasn't right for you. All the best in your search! I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis, hope you are able to adapt to any lifestyle changes or medications if you are taking any. elegant - Did you get Beryl? I swatched it again yesterday, but I'm still not sure if I need it or it will work on me. The powder is too gorgeous. I think I might not be able to bring myself to use it, so I'm unsure if I want to buy it. This is the first makeup item to make me feel this way. I managed to get a sample of the cc cream, a tiny 1 ml sachet. Probably try it next week! It is marketed as a skincare item instead of a makeup product.

Thanks Miss QQ! I think not many people are willing to pay Chanel prices compared to MAC. I'm never sure if other companies make so little quantity of limited edition items like MAC seems to be doing lately. My plan is to email/call first before I even think about making a trip to places like Holt Renfrew since a bit more travel time is involved compared to going to the closest MAC store.

Miss QQ - I did get Beryl. While its not real noticeable on, it does brighten up my eyes...& I need all the brightening I can get. Not sure if this color will work for everyone

Leeny - I agree, the higher prices is a deterrent. Good idea to call first, I do that sometimes.

elegant - I love Infidele! The colour is so unique and beautiful and sophisticated. It's the only Chanel nail polish I bought last year and I'm glad I got it. Thanks re Beryl, I'll wait a bit and see if I need it.

I ordered two more things from this collection - Emprise and Accessoire. Now I have all three polishes. I ordered from the Chanel website and was charged tax. I don't ever recall being charged tax before. I still need to get Frivole, Envoutante and L'Eclatante. I'm not worried about missing out on them since they're perm.

@ elegant - I haven't worn Infidele or any of the Twin-Sets polishes yet. I noticed in December that the Twin-Sets polishes were restocked on the website and are no longer listed as LE.

^^ Yeah, it's getting high. As if they weren't high already. I have been on a nail polish binge lately - ordered several Zoya and OPI polishes from MBeautyLounge....not on the same level as Chanel, but they might have to do .
