I didn't see those, but then again I'm only part of the community since february 2010. I'm glad the reviews do help you not to purchase stuff you don't like. I guess we just have different tastes. I'm not always looking for the most pigmented shadow, because it can end up way higher than I want it to. I also don't understand everything about which things they make permanent, but I guess it has also to do with ingredients not being available all the time and stuff like that that we don't hear of. It's easy for us to say to make this and that colours permanent, but sometimes that might not be an option and of course the hype of something being limited has a lot to do with it as well.

Yeah, I guess that could be true. But they might also want to not make them permanent because they will sell more if they don't...I don't know. I always like my eyeshadows to be smooth and decently pigmented since I can always sheer them out if I need to, but some eyeshadows you can't build up if you feel the need. But a lot of the time, not only are they very sheer, they are also dry or patchy or powdery and it makes them very difficult to work with, so I guess it wouldn't be so bad if they were smooth, or if MAC at least noted that they intended for them to be sheer...but usually they say they are pigmented.

I agree. I also don't know why people here are saying she hates MAC. Why would she hate the company? She gives her honest opinion about their products. Some she loves, some she's on the fence about, others she finds to be extremely lacking in quality. Not to mention they gave her the opportunity to create her own eyeshadow last year, which is something she's very proud of and grateful for. So I'm not getting the logic that she "hates MAC". (And considering that there are people here who dislike her for whatever reason, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if someone lied about her using their photos/info without permission. Not calling anyone out. Just something to think about. It can get negative very quick when she's brought up, and I rather dislike that. This is supposed to be a FUN community.)

Also, I think a good quality product has to have the ability to appear highly pigmented AND low pigmented. It all depends on how you apply it, whether using a different brush (or even fingers) or how much product you pick up with your tool of choice. For me, it's quite easy to make a shadow that has high pigmentation (Brash, for example) to be less intense and a touch sheer by using a big, fluffy brush or even using my finger. With chalky and dry shadows, it's much harder to make them show up and be noticeable.

I totally agree, bloggers take so much time (and money) buying all of these products, swatching, taking pictures, etc...and I really don't think T would constantly spend thousands buying every new collection if she hated MAC. I've seen so many other bloggers have the same opinions as her, yet none of them are ever bashed for it, it makes no sense to me. And I've seen so many people straight up lie about her on here, what is the point? She isn't hurting anybody. And I agree, this stuff is supposed to be fun. I also agree about good quality eyeshadows, you can always make them sheer or have high pigmentation, what I consider bad quality are ones that are sheer no matter what, some are even near invisible or dry, powdery, etc. And most of the sheer MAC eyeshadows, it was pretty clear that they were not intended to be sheer at all. But them having some bad quality products doesn't mean I hate them or that I don't love their other products, nothing wrong with having a different opinion. =)

Back to the subject...I can't believe we don't have a color story yet. We've seen pics up the bootay. Heck even before strength busted out. I am so scared that this is going to sell lightning fast. There will be some serious stalking for this collection!

Sweet Something kinda reminds me of Rose pigment, maybe a little less pinky. Oh how I would love a lipstick version of Rose pigment, but either way, Sweet Something will be mine. The only lipstick I don't want yet is Ronnie Red, I want every other product we've seen so far, except for the Betty eyeshadow quad.

I'm with you on the red lipsticks. I love my Marilyn ones, but I don't reach for them that often. I also have Russian Red, Cockney, Ruby Woo, Ruffian Red plus a few others that I can't even think of at the moment. I am "trying" really hard not to buy any more reds for awhile unless... it's unique and different enough. I really really want a blackened red lipstick. If you like purple you might want to check out Lilinah's pics of Grid and Lust in the Strength collection forum. BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

I just can't justify another red. I got all 4 red MM lippies, I have Runaway Red, Ruby Woo, Absolute Power. That's 7 red lipsticks! 6 of those I purchased last year so still getting used to rockin' the red lip. I can honestly say I love all the red lippies I own and only find Ruby Woo to be drying and don't reach for it as much. So this Ronnie Red is gonna have to be some A-MAzing red for me to buy it. ohhhhh going to check out Lilinah's pics, where is it at? Strength thread?

I agree! I also don't understand why it's not okay for her to not like a MAC product but some on this forum peddle everything MAC makes like it's candy, the best thing ever, and they can do no wrong. Yes, I know it's a MAC forum but, not everything they make will be or has been great. With that said, I trust her opinion because I believe she will always be honest which is more than I can say for some on this forum.

And this time, we will be getting candy with our MAC, so what's not to love? I admit I have been a bit of a MAC h00r and have probably gravitated towards their products over other brands, perhaps to the extent that I have neglected other products that could be superior or just as good quality for less, but I also like the uniformity in my collection, like being able to depot and have all my e/s in the same pot. Plus, I have so much trouble keeping up with just the MAC launches, if I obsessed about other brands as well, then I would go nuts (not to mention broke). So, sometimes brand loyalty is good. Now, where do I get that candy tin???

I hope it's a glaze. Lustres are hit or miss for me, but the only lustres I have are two pinks (VGGaga1 and Budding Love) and they're alright. Neutral or MLBB looking lustres are a total miss for me though.

Likewise. My comment about all the MAC hate is regarding all the commenters. They just type all these gripes and whines. Christine gives thorough and honest reviews and I respect them regardless of whether they favor or despise the product bring reviewed.

I live across the road from one, work down the street from another one, and between those two there is another Nordie, plus an actual MAC store. I shop around my schedule, so my go-to MAC counter varies.

i loooove Rose pigment and i have my eye on Sweet Something too!! mayyybe Ronnie Red but i need to see a swatch! i got too many reds which ill never finish n all my pinks are starting to look the same!!

oh ok that makes sense!! but im loyal to one even though if i am at another one i'd pick up somethin off the whim but when it comes to collections n a big purchase i shop at the one im loyal too becuz they hold my shyt for me!! i swatch it OR if i dnt get a chance to swatch it i give em a list of what i THINK i want to hold it for me. whatever i dnt pick can go back into the ring for everyone to fight over **evil laugh**
