I'm sure you'll love it too! I don't reach for Naked 2 often, since I have the first naked palette and I love it, and tons of mac 15 eye shadow palettes with neutral colors.. so I figured she'll experiment with nice shadows and I'm sure you can tell that I'm trying to pass the addiction on..

Makes sense and I'm jealous of your collection. How old is your daughter?

How exciting. I didn't wear makeup in the hospital. I had a scheduled c-section as my daughter was almost 10 lbs. Then I got all nervous from the post partum hormones. At least you've done it before and know what to expect. Does it get easier with the next one?
Hell. No.

Ah, Go For It is the only lipstick i've ever backed up! I carry one in my purse, along with a sensible warm pink. Together the two should cover most of my lipstick emergencies.

She is 15 and started to wear gloss and mascara :) when she is ready to wear eye shadows, she has some nice ones! She loves my collection, she asks if she can look at it, she always looked a little longer on naked palettes lol.... I might have to get her brushes, 239 and 224 for blending! She is very good girl and deserves it

That's what I did last time. Just a bit of makeup during the early stages of labor... then after I've taken a shower for a no-makeup-but-radiant look because of visitors.
girlhaha.gif

The delivery was easier with my 2nd one (because the epidural actually worked that time), but raising the 2nd one isn't really easier. She's a handful! And I can't leave makeup around (not even a lip balm)... they... get... destroyed! She knows how to twist them up but doesn't remember to twist them back down before putting the cap back on! She's so cute though. She likes to watch me put makeup on and tries to copy me by using a clean brush.

I'm due March 31st... my birthday!

My 19 year old wears mascara and that's it. And my 14 year old isn't really in to makeup either. Now, my niece, she is a makeup fiend like me.

How cool! Mine is 22 months and loves my lipbalm lol. I put some on and it's "Me me me". I have my stuff up higher in my room so she doesn't get into it as that would be ugly.

Well, as i've said, i don't wear red. But one of the closest colors i ever got was Revlon Velvet Touch Lipstick in Moonlit Wine (Frost 43). It's a semi-matte dark plum-red with gold shimmer from the late 1990s. I like the contrast between matte and shimmer... like Firm Form. I think it succeed on my neutral coloring because it's a cool base color with warm shimmer, so it straddles the line between warm and cool like my skin does. Last time i took it out it was still good but i've hesitated to wear it 'cuz i dread using it up.

Apparently Three Custom Color Specialists made up a copy of the formula (i looked it up a few years ago), however, at $60.00 for 2 tubes (sheesh, used to be $50) i haven't been in a hurry to get it made. Additional tubes of the same color are $21.50 if they're ordered at the same time - they recommend getting 2 more, so the average prices comes down to $25.75 per tube:

But i don't wear that much of the same color. Sigh.

They will also blend discontinued eye shadow, blush, concealer, face powder, and other products. They prefer you send them a sample, so they can work from the original.

Why, lookee there, they also have a formula for Lavender Whip in their archive... and for Grid... and Lust...

I remember wearing just eyeshadow and mascara at 14 and up. I was afraid of the mascara for awhile lol. Thought I was gonna poke my eye.

I've gone through no makeup phases but in my defense the women in my family don't wear makeup like at all really. Now I wear it whenever I go out and it makes me feel better about myself. That and my clothes lol. But, at least makeup doesn't care what size you are and you don't have to hope they have it in stock. I'm the oddball with my family when it comes to makeup and fashion and honestly I don't really care anymore. I wasted too many years not exploring it. Hell, last year was when I learned how to do eyeliner. Yes, I'm 34! But, better late then never. I'm glad your daughters are exposed to it so they can decide for themselves and not just be clueless like I was.

Btw, sorry I just typed a novel. Oops.

If they get one for Queen's Sin, I may fork out the cash. Yeah, they are expensive and I wonder if it would really be the same as the finish likely would not be. But, it beats the option of paying ridiculous prices on ebay when a woman gets desperate. Wondering if I should go check if they have any of the blue lippies MAC made in the remote past.

Thank you! Let's hope so!

Thanks, MACerette!

Thank you! I'm 28 weeks pregnant. I'm due on March 31st (my birthday)! I'm excited, and at the same time hope I don't miss any future MAC releases. Not sure what collections are coming out around that time, but I know I won't be able to stalk the site!
girlhaha.gif
I am due March 7th (32w) with a girl and I ALSO was worried about collections coming out then! LOL Glad to see I'm not the only one. I would like to get a few Archie items so I'm glad that is releasing in FEB! I mean, if I miss something it will suck, but I will live :)

Oooo, blue!

I have the aqua Summer Shower from Fashion Flower; i have Peacocky liquid lipstick from Peacocky, although it's teal; I failed to get Best of Breed from Fabulous Felines - i really shoulda - i liked it better than Chillin' because of its multicolored shimmer. I have several blue lip products from some other makeup companies.

I've saved jpgs of the light turquoise Blast O' Blue lipstick from C-Shock in 2007 which i covet (never seen it in person); and of Blue Comet Dazzleglass (also never seen it in person).

What other blue lipsticks has MAC made?

All Women Quad is amazing

. Liba was right, if cool toned colors don't work with your skin tone give this quad a try ;) I used it today for the first time and I'm in love.. I don't need my naked 2 palette anymore, I gave it to my daughter Whoot whoot (she is happy).
That's so awesome

I couldn't agree more. I have to force myself to use my other eyeshadows.

Reminds me of my niece...she's 3 and loves makeup. So does my 9 yr old niece. I always have to pat them down before they leave my house to make sure none of my stash goes with them lol
