Someone mentioned that they mac online Canada has firm form can someone in the us order from Canada?
You can't order from the MAC Canada website, but you can by phone from the Canadian customer service number. Just keep in mind that their phone inventory may be different from what's available on their website when you call, and you'll have to pay for shipping.

I have maybe half a tube of Lavender Whip left....I love it....sad I don't have another. I wonder just how close VGN2 is to it.

I'll keep an eye on the sales thread :)

All this talk about the greatness of the All Woman quad is making me want it. I don't have any of the dupes Erine mentioned earlier.

Reminds me of my niece...she's 3 and loves makeup. So does my 9 yr old niece. I always have to pat them down before they leave my house to make sure none of my stash goes with them lol
Mine are 8 and 3... and both love to play with Mommy's makeup. (Like I did when I was a little girl!)

Back to topic... I wonder when they're going to restock PiPi and PaPa? I know they already did, but the site says "COMING SOON"...

Yes yazmin is great! I really would like a hot chocolate lippie for my sister but would like to swap. If yazmin or any great specktras are willing for a swap .i do not have many BUs of lipsticks but do have a BNIB watch me simmer and a BNIB tendertone hush hush.

congrats on your pregnancy! lol re the makeup plan....though it's probably good to feel prepared, even if you don't end up cracking out the lipstick in the end! let me know if you need a cp - though it will be in canadian price which is a little higher...and there are some sales taxes of 15%. (ouch!)
wow I will see if someone is willing to swap if not I will let u know.15% u say oh boy

i know, painful. i'm so sorry. it's kind of crazy, but when i ask for CPs from the US, it usually costs me a little less to buy in US$ and ship to me than to buy in canada.

if you end up struggling to find it over there, and it's still on the canadian site, let me know!

Wish I could get you HC. My stores are completely sold out. I think I got the last two from each store for CPs last week. I'll keep an eye out though just in case!

All Women Quad is amazing

. Liba was right, if cool toned colors don't work with your skin tone give this quad a try ;) I used it today for the first time and I'm in love.. I don't need my naked 2 palette anymore, I gave it to my daughter Whoot whoot (she is happy).

Ohhhhhhh I'm getting tempted and I wasn't considering this at ALL. I don't have Naked 2 and I'm warm toned. Gah, will this end up at the CCO? Maybe I can wait it out.
Karen from MBB says it's too cool for her and she's NC42. I'm NC45 so I'm a little reserved about this quad. Wish I had a store near me.

I'm cooler toned which is why I'm after it. Thing is tho the swatches on Karen didn't look bad. It could be personal preference. I have noticed that she's not as current with collections lately. Maybe she has MAC collection burn out or she's just got too much on her plate. I enjoy her blog though. I hope you can figure out if it will work out for you while it's still in stock. Sorry you don't have a local store. That's gotta suck.

I posted swatches in this thread if you missed em. I'm an NC20. Lighter than you, but still an NC if it helps.

Do cool greys, whites and taupes usually look weird and dead on you?

If so, you should check AW out, because the colors read cool but don't look wrong like a lot of cool tones can. That's what's good about this quad. If you normally can wear cool grey for example without it turning blue, you might not particularly need this quad, if you have plenty of other neutrals.

I'm NC15, but I've got darker and warmer skin on my lids and crease - I'd say perhaps a warm NC25 - I think this is one reason I like sheer shadows like the Pressed Piggies - my natural coloring already looks like eyeshadow a little, so just give it a little sheen and I'm good to go. Not that I think the colors in All Woman are sheer. They're actually opaque enough to cancel the undertones in my skin nicely. (Can you tell I usually don't wear paint pots underneath? If you're the type that does, you probably have less need for the unique qualities of AW too, since you're already neutralizing the warmth)

Funny you mention paint pots, liba, as I have been thinking of buying one in the last week. Don't people use those as a base or to neutralize the eyelid? I am what I consider a makeup newb so my collection isn't huge and I'm not always sure what looks best on me. Being NC I know I probably look best in warmer colors, but on some level it kind of bores me. It would be nice to try wearable cools that doesn't look ashy/frosty. Flawless Figure looks a leetle scary to me. The other two browns look like they wouldn't show up very well on my skin. I do happen to wear mostly neutrals for the office. I don't have a cool grey. I have Hocus Pocus, but I think it's warm.
eta: Wait, I have Gunmetal in the Naked palette, but I've never even tried it. LOL. I suspect it's cool. If it turns blue on me then the AW Quad may need to visit my house.

bulbasaurus - I definitely was thinking Karen was moreso referring to her preferences. I did a search on the quad right after I posted and ran into her comment. I wish she would have done an eye look instead of just swatches. And yes definitely sucks not having a store in my state. I shop sight unseen.

erine - I will check your swatches out. The more I see the better I can assess.

A lot of people use paint pots for just that. I'll use them sometimes, but usually they can be a little heavy for my eye texture. I've got enough texture going on that I need something that smooths me out more that p/ps. I mostly have the colored ones I will wear alone or the sheerer glittery ones.

If you don't know what looks best, just try lots of things, or make a special trip somewhere to get your makeup done by someone who's own makeup is a look you'd like for yourself then ask lots of questions. Most of the time, I think we all just naturally can tell if something doesn't look that great or looks super fantastic - you can trust your judgement on things like that!

And don't worry about Flawless Figure! I'm always on the prowl for white shadow that looks good on me (a good one can light up your whole face) and FF is a rare snow white that works well for me!

You're right, liba. I do need to make some time to have someone do my whole face. Based on experience I don't trust anyone in my local area to do it b/c they're not used to working with brown skin and just don't get its nuances. People here consistently give me the wrong colors b/c they want me to settle and just buy something. When I'm seeking makeup advice I like to check in areas where I know there is a decent number of clientele that look like me. (Unfortunately when I was in ATL last the people that helped me applied the makeup too heavily. Another common problem I run into w/ MUAs.) If I get to go out of state and shop by myself, I'm going to spend an hour or so getting a makeover. Complete with false lashes! LOL I'm gonna make that my first New Year's resolution.

I got my package yesterday from Purplerinne! I used the blushes and All Woman for the first time today. The All Woman quad has stangely enough unique colours (at least in my collection). For my look today I used TFSI as a base then Painterly PP, on the lids and the outer part under my eyes All Woman (brown grey), Brains & Brawn (taupe) as a blending colour, Black Magique (brown black) in the outer crease and lid area and a sheer layer of Flawless Figure (warm white) to highlight. The eyeshadows lean very neutral (not cool or warm) on me and I love that about the quad. Most of the time neutral shades have a warm or cool undertone and it's nice to have something that doesn't have that. The quality is also great. I didn't have problems with the pigmentation of any of the shades and I still was able to apply them sheer and layer them if needed.
I used Taupe Shape to contour and Poised as a blush. Taupe Shape has a slight sheen, but it's only visible from a certain angle. For that angle you see a similar sheen from Poised and it just looks like the sheen is a natural flush from my cheeks and therefore TS works as a contour with Poised. Poised is darker than The Perfect Cheek and TPC has more pink while Poised has more yellow undertones. Poised was actually closest to Prim & Proper in my collection. Prim & Proper has less yellow tones and more brown I think. I really like the Poised and TS combo.
I will be able to wear this eye and cheek combo with a lot of my bright lippies. I think I might have to get the Inner Strength quad when it's released here.
I also tried Firm Form yesterday evening on top of Nightmoth and it turned into a really dark burgandy purplish colour with tiny gold sparkles. It was not black and therefore I think I might be able to wear it more often. I took a picture, but I had no daylight, just some crappy light. Hopefully it still gives an idea of how it looks.

BTW the rest of my makeup was from earlier in the day, so it might not work that well with FF, but I just had to try it on.
