MAC x Archie's Girls (Betty & Veronica) Collection Discussion (February 2013)

I understand MAC has a confidentiality clause but then perhaps they should make enough product so that by the time we get our emails or go to the store on day 2, there's still some product left for us to swatch and buy accordingly. The unfair bit is that we are in panic mode due to all the past collections selling out lightening-fast and now have to purchase items in a mad frenzy the millisecond the collection launches without knowing if these products will even LOOK GOOD on us.

Right. I feel really guilty returning a product I bought in a frenzy when I know someone else would have used it. The whole thought process makes me a bit neurotic.

Ooo. I'm glad you got some info. Is that the actual MAC store or the counter at Nordies? I've been trying to get some details from both the Bellevue and Tacoma counters with little luck.

It was at the actual MAC store. I'm still stalking the website and going in on the 7th. I am NOT missing this one haha!

I know this is off topic sort of, but my cat gave birth to four kittens on Sunday and only one came out a redhead , irnically it was a he so I named him Archie.

Satin finishes are my favorite so this definitely bumped it up on my list! And the fact that you just said it wasn't as bright as those two colors definitely makes me happy

I'm so picky with corals! i don't mind wearing bright pinks and purples but bright corals... mmmm-mmmmm don't like them lol i just hope it's the perfect coral color for me

Same here, i returned Force of Love and didnt like Reel Sexy or Watch me Simmer on me. i wish i did because they are so pretty! I have a feeling we are both going to love it!

Here's another one! The purples are soooo different. I want some swatches already. So hard to plan without proper swatches

yup, there is that lipgloss too ...i keep changing my mind about the BS lipstick too....i just tried on a MUFE purple lipstick OMG so bright yet dark. perfect, im getting it on friday! oh that sounds pretty! Which MUFE lipstick is it?, if you don't mind me asking and I think ill wait for the event to check out boyfriend stealer, I really don't want to get it and just have it sit on my counter. I skipped watch me simmer the 2x it was released and regretted it so much after I kept seeing pics of it. I ended up getting force of love thinking it might be a dupe but it was way too bright for me. I still have it, because I felt bad returning it. I wish I had gotten watch me simmer and skipped force of love but hey it's too late for that now. Hopefully Betty bright leans more toward watch me simmer

That's how all their shirts are now! They're so restricting and suffocating! And boxy fitting too. They suck! Such generic prints.

I will give Mac something, no matter how frustrating it is waiting for swatches and colour storys... they know how to build the hype with big collections like this!

Australias pricing will be sky high on this collection! Prob $38 a lippy again!

I totally HATE crew neck shirts. And it's just a regular boxy tee, too? I would revolt. People think I'm a snob, but I just cannot wear clothes that aren't flattering. V-necks all the way!!! My boobies must breathe.
