Exactly. My Marilyn items were on hold as well and behind the counter. Somehow, all but one item wasn't there when I arrived. I obtained most of my MM items through Gracie. Once burned, twice shy. If I can't pre-order (and that seems to only be possible here with holiday collections) and it's an item I think will sell out quickly then I order it online while I can. It's an unfortunate way to have to purchase and it leads to unnecessary returns (even with careful purchasers).

I am in same situation except mine is worse...my Archie event is FEB. 14th!!!!!???
My plan is to buy my absolute must haves the day I see it online...whenever that is!!!??? I will save things I am unsure of/BU's for the instore event.

That is the BEST plan!!! Trust me!! Read up to my comment about what happened to my friend during the Marilyn launch! DON'T wait on any MUST HAVES!! Only wait on things you aren't 100% sure about and won't be broken hearted if you miss out on. There's really no way of knowing how popular this will be... but Marilyn changed me forever! I will NEVER underestimate a LE launch again! NEVER!

I tried that with Hello Kitty. When I got there I was told... well we don't hold things for that long. Then WHY did the person I spoke to say she would do it!!?? I was soooo frustrated.

I got off the phone just now on the 1-800 mac no and tried to see if Year of the Snake is available for phone in order since I read few pages ago someone was able to do this. The CSR said the YOS is going to be available ONLINE TOMORROW. And I asked about Archie's and she said "later this week". There's just no centralized and uniform info on this

I never pay attention to what MAC cs live chat or their 800 # says,they all often give a few different answers and are wrong half the time.

I was off by a day.. The point I was trying to make is that there's no need to complain about them unless it's not up on the day they said it would be.

I totally agree. Just didn't want people to be upset if MAC actually launched it on Thursday thinking that it was supposed to be up tomorrow.
