I was originally picturing something like the new Lise Watier compact.. which I love the design of - it's more intricate.

What I like about this Pearlmatte is THERE IS A TON OF PERIWINKLE IN THERE!!!

I thought there would be teeny tiny little leaves with the blue - not enough to really change the color at all, and here we have THIS BLUENESS!!

This is totally a good thing - I'm much more excited for this powder now than I was before, plus I'm happy that it's very different from Veronica's Blush.

I was thinking about only getting one PM from each collection but then I threw my list out the window and bought VB on an impulse buy.. So glad I did! Depending on swatches I may get both of these as well.. I've used my Archie's ones every day since I got them.. the formula is perfect for my pasty "jellyfish" - as you Spektrettes refer to it - skin! I am curious to see how well the periwinkle/mint works for color correcting with these - love that the leaves are huge also!

I visited my local MAC counter today and my favorite MUA told me about this collection. She said it's very reminiscent of the Quite Cute collection....girly with pastel-like shades. Lavender whip is coming back out in this one as well (not sure if this will be the lipstick or glass and i didn't ask since i'm not too crazy about it anyways). The release date for this @ Macy's MAC counters (and i'm assuming all other department store counters) will be April 18.

From what I understand, blue is supposed to brighten up fair skin tones and add more radiance.

Also with the rose color and that soft taupe-y pinkish background color, plus the white border, I think when swirled together it's going to make a color that will be like a much more complex Superb or Semi-Precious Crystal Pink - my fine art background is telling me it's going to have a rich glowing quality that will be awesome for skin with a bit of a sallow or olive cast - like the types of skin tones that can't always pull off baby pink blush, plus I suspect it will be quite good for de-emphasizing freckles.
