Aaack!!! I'll have to stay away from this thread until the spiders go away! :p And I just might get Strawberry Malt after all. Why the heck not!

Turquoise and mint e/s are indeed nice with Saint Germain too. I totally forgot.
AWWW buick, I'm sorry u do not like saint germain, At first I didn't quite like it too and thought it was over rated, but later I found that when I wore pastel minty green eyecolors, or turqoise e/s, saint germain actually looked quite nice with it. Only that I need to find the right sort of eye colors to match it.

And I Finally got about swatching the cheek products from archie girls

Don't you just love these?
They catch me by surprise too often

I had to delete the picture from the quote cause it scared me too much:p I really really really don't like spiders. With an event I once had a tarantula on my hand, but the man that the spider was from had his hands close to it, so it wouldn't go anywhere I didn't want it. It just slowly walked on my hands to the hands of the next person. Strangely enough I was not scared. I did that because I thought it might help me get over my fear of spiders, but it didn't work... I'm very happy therefore that my housemates are not afraid of them and always help me out.

There have actually been serious scientific studies done - IIRC they were in the US and the UK. Bosses would say they preferred "all natural". Then, when shown pictures of women in no makeup, "natural" makeup, professional office makeup, and night-out makeup - which women do you think they thought were more competent? The ones in make up. They even preferred the ones in more glamorous makeup over the "natural" makeup - and that was for office work...

I don't know if it's the same in the Netherlands, but...

That sounds really interesting!! I might have to look up something in Dutch about it. :) We're not "hiding" ourselves behind our make-up... just enhancing... that's how I see it.

I used not to wear any makeup at work. Then I found out my bosses were saying that I do not fix myself up behind my back.

Now I go to work with fuchsia lips, and I don't know what they're thinking.

This is so true. I tell men this all the time when it comes up, but they don't want to admit it. I think they like "no makeup" makeup not bare, natural face. For men, I think natural = neutral. Many of them don't have a clue.

Here is the UK article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-206088/Make-means-money.html

eta: this topic reminds me of when magazines do spreads of celebs with no makeup.

I'll try it on again the next time I visit a MAC counter. Do you have some gloss on it in your pic? It honestly looked nothing like how it looks on you.

Speaking of spiders. I had just climbed into bed the other night and felt something on y side. Thought it was a fuzzy or something. Held my phone on it to see and I was holding a good sizes tan spider. He got flung lolol. Good thing he was ton my daughter or husband bc they were asleep.

holy freakin crap. That happened to me while driving a rental car when I was in Alabama. A spider crawled up my leg while I was at an intersection. I'm just glad I was stopped and not moving that time! I whacked it with my bag and got spider parts on my leg. I was like FML.

Anyway I hope everyone is loving their haul! I wore Please Me with Prom Princess today. It was pure <3.

Omg something similar happened to me recently! I was on my bed working on some papers and felt something on my leg... I thought it was my hair so I looked down and was like oh it's a spider. For some reason it didn't click right away, I typed like 2 more words and then it hit me, holy **** there's a spider on my leg! I wacked it off and did some weird dance to make sure it was off lol I HATE Spiders, they freak me out :/

Yay, the spiders are gone. I was just catching up on this thread and I squealed when I saw the first one posted. I'm terrified of them.

That's a very interesting observation. You never know how you're being perceived.

That's so rude of them. Wear all the brights you feel like then. I work in high end retail, so more often than not I like to look mostly put together. Some days I'm just too exhausted to care. On one of those days out assistant store manager goes up to me and asks if I'm feeling alright because I look a little sickly (there were multiple call outs from other associates that week, so his concern was genuine). I jokingly played it off that I was offended and explained that I just wasn't wearing any makeup. We had a good laugh over it.

Nope, no gloss, just some lip balm below StG .....But it's definitely not a lipcolor to be worn jus alone though. It's nicer with full make up on.

I hate spiders so much! I can't even touch pictures of spiders. When I lived in Hawaii, we always had wolf spiders in our apartment which freaked me the hell out! My childhood friend's father liked to keep them in his car. That was the first AND the last time I rode in that car. *shudder*

Now I always have a can of Raid at the ready.

I had my own spidy scare today. It's not easy sitting on the toilet with you legs up on the counter (half bath) screaming for someone to come kill the ginormous spider that just crawled passed you!
