PREACH!

Love your take on men! I totally agree!
thmbup.gif

When it comes to men I've adopted two mindsets about them.

1. A man will give you all the rules of things he likes and swear up and down about them like they're the Ten Commandments. "I don't like girls with short hair blah blah blah." and if Halle Berry walked into the room with a teeny pixie he'd fling you into Rush Hour traffic like a bag of 10 day old garbage to get to her. Be yourself, men go for hotness period. If you're comfortable and happy you're more likely to be hot than if you're trying to be something you're not and miserable.

2. Something Dita Von Teese said about her unique look and how that factors into dating. This isn't a verbatim quote but she essentially said she simply stays true to herself and she finds that the men she would be interested in anyway are the ones who ask her out. Sounds smart to me.

MACerette, were you the one who started all this spider talk??? Good job giving everyone nightmares!!! Lol, just kidding. Actually, I'm about to contribute! Apologies to all of those afraid of spiders in this thread, but I've gotta jump on board and share my scary spider picture too!

This huge sucker surprised me one day last September! Dropped down on a thread of webbing and stopped right at eye level! It COMPLETELY freaked me out. I waited for hubby to come home to kill it, and even he was pretty freaked out. Rather than his usual squishing method, he just sprayed it over and over with some sort of household cleaner (Windex, maybe?) until its nervous system went to hell and it started twitching and fell down. I would CRY if I ever had one of these actually on me!!!
AAAAAAAAAAARG! Where is my flame torch???

Enough with the spiders already.

I'm a wuss---yeah that's right!

. Please start an arachnid thread and stop posting those gross photos. My daughter loves bugs and treats them like precious gems. Since she was 3 years old I've had to tell her that she wasn't allowed to bring anything in the house that she couldn't eat!!!

Cause Mommy's a wuss!
Lol, I'm sorry. Just as soon as I hear the word spider that gets me going. The type of spider that I posted is a kind I see in my house every now and then (read: way too often). I live near a forest too. I just feel compelled to share the misery because those nasty f*ckers are really as big in real life (1/2 - 2/3 of my hand). Misery shared. I'll stop freaking you out. I just know I am not alone.

I'll keep that in mind the next time I am screaming like a wuss for my husband or worse: when I need to take action myself.

p.s: next time I'll involunarily meet up with one of his ugly relatives and he / she is not extremely fast, I'll try to take a picture of it compared to my head when showing of the newest hottest lipstick / blush from the newest collection of that time. Strike a pose baby!

If there will be any more spider pictures can there at least be a warning so I know close my eyes and scroll past really quickly to the next post? My sister has a pet tarantula and an adorable 2 year old. So, once in awhile she'll post some really cute pics of my niece on Facebook. Aww, so cute, then BAM!, tarantula picture mixed in. She knows I absolutely hate it too.

:( Ah that's no good. One of my best friends is super arachnophobic & pictures of spiders really get to her too. We've been friends since we were really young and she's always been terribly afraid of them (I have a fear of heights-- so I understand to an extent) but I was thinking about all that when I saw the spider pix earlier. Back in the days of Myspace I posted a picture of a red & white spider that had been in my yard, and I remember her bringing it up later, I know it would probably bother her if I was posting them all the time (especially if she'd said something) - it's a shame the pictures are mixed in with those of your niece otherwise I'd say thank goodness for the block feature.

Just wonderful. Last night I had a dream I was in some sort of park museum and it was full of spiders! Creepy!
I have reoccurring dreams that i walk into my bedroom and it's completely covered in spider webs and nests! The ceiling corners, bed posts, doorways, everywhere! I've held a tarantula before. My junior year of highschool on the last day. It was biology class and the entire class was seniors, except me and a sophomore. The seniors graduated before the rest of the school finished the year, so the last year there was nothing left to do, so me and the sophomore took turns holding the tarantula. It was my goal since the first day of class to hold it on the last day, and i did! It's not the big ones I'm worried about. It's the ones that are small enough to crawl into your ears and up your nose that i worry about!

Actually spiders are very useful, all animals are even if we are sometimes scared of them.

And lol back to topic, I picked up the Veronica Blush today, so lovely
heart.gif
! I was much disappointed by the Mineralize lipsticks though
001_unsure.gif
( didn't pick up any ), the price was 21 € but it's 23 € online so I really don't understand. The foundation looks very very good, next time I'll try it !

Found a seller for both PiPi and PaPa and now they're not responding anymore. :( Jeez
Unfortunately not everybody is to be trusted and that's a shame! I hope it's not one of the specktra members who is not responding
001_unsure.gif
But maybe he or she had a busy week so try to PM one more time or email the seller one more time. With ebay this is more common, and this is one of the reasons i'm not buying from ebay. I do hope you still will be able to get your lipsticks. And sometimes I wish mac made everything permanent. Or a big extra sale once a year where you can buy (or trade against reasonable prices) all your items you missed out on in order to complete your collection.

Ow and yeah, because I got my BU of Betty Bright today! Yesterday I received my Kiss & Don't Tell. It seems like Mac NL is finally behaving better regarding shipping. I'm glad they decided to go with Post NL as their courier.

Its such a flattering color--BU is a good idea! It looked great in your photo too. I still haven't tried mine yet, waiting for a nice Spring day and I will try and emulate the look you did with all the Betty colors.

Thanks, it indeed it lovely! I sold my BU of Watch Me Simmer, because sometimes it is just a bit too bright for that type of colour and I didn't wear it enough. BB works a lot better in this colour category for me! We had nice spring like weather last week. Unfortunately this week it's cold again with some snow:( Please spring come soon!

Another person here with arachnophobia...it's BAD. A few years ago when we moved into our house, I got home from work and was playing with my dogs. Well, I went throw the ball for them and happened to look at the side of the house: COVERED in spiders, like eggs hatched or something. There were probably a thousand spiders on it, not exaggerating! I tried to spray them off with a hose, but then they started making that wiggly motion with their creepy legs crawling back up. I threw the hose down and started sobbing...I could hardly breathe. I called my husband, who was at work, right away and was crying and rambling on about an emergency with the spiders. He is so sweet...30 minutes later he was home to fix the situation and even bug bombed the garage. That was SO traumatic to me! When I see a spider, I just get paralyzed. Luckily, we have three cats so we don't get bugs in the house. One time at our old apartment I ruined the the linoleum because I sprayed a spider with oven spray. Completely irrational, but they terrify me.

Anyway, I wish I had gotten more lipsticks from this collection, mostly DLG. I only got Betty Bright (and two of the glosses).

OMG! :barf: I'm not really afraid of spiders, they just gross me out so much. But if I saw a wall covered in spiders I would run as fast as I could!!

My reoccurring dreams/nightmares are usually about snakes covering the floor of my bedroom. I'm not really scared of spiders, and I usually pick them up with a cup and take them outside. But big spiders with visible hair freak me out! My brother has a tarantula now, but I don't think I could hold it. It would give me nightmares for sure!

I really wish we had more make up swatches so we would talk about that and not spiders, lol!
