Hey everyone I received my order today and swatched the lippies. After swatching ablaze, the color looked similar to a lippie in my collection:

All this talk about Silly being hard to work with, has made me seriously worry about it being unwearable for me. I broke down and got it just to see if I could make it work but, now I'm feeling buyers remorse.

Me too! I was hesitant to buy it but in the end I caved. Now I'm questioning if that was the right decision for me. Have to wait to get it to see

You need a primer with Silly, with Prep + Prime Lip it sticks better on my lips so there is less chalky stuff in the fine lines. My lips have deep lines on them. If your lips aren't like that, you can probably wear it alone or with lipbalm.

It's a pretty shade, but I have to dab it on to work with it since it has a sheen finish. Thank goodness ablaze was easier to work with, lol.

I'm probably selling my Ablaze BU to my friend here. So beautiful but I think I want to have something from the permanent line like Neon Orange, Lady Danger, So Chaud or Morange instead of the BU.

So...I'm glad I didn't back anything up. I'm kinda disappointed with this collection. I love the color of Silly but the texture seems SO dry to me. (and normally I don't have any problem with MAC mattes) Embrace me is alright, but not quite as vivid as I wanted. The big disappointment for me is Ablaze. I was hoping it would be a reddish, coral like it shows in a lot of your swatches. On me it is, like, straight up cantaloupe...WTF? I'm going to try them again tonight before I make any final decisions. I think I'm keeping everything except Ablaze, which I am passing along to a friend. Not gonna lie...Pretty bummed.

Out of curiosity, what does FOL look like on your lips?

The exact same as on my hand. My lips are almost the same colour as my skin. Everything looks the same on my hand/lips.

lucky! itll make it easier getting lipsticks since you can swatch a bunch of em on ur hand lol. and you can just throw on some clear lipgloss and call it a nude lip with no problems lol

and OMG yes if it looked like a cantaloupe color i would be all over that

Yeah I'd always come back from lunch with just lip balm and customers would ask what lip colours i was wearing. I'd tell it was just lip balm and they argue with me that i had to have something on them. I was only wearing balm cuz I'd apply my lips at the counter.
