This should be release in the Netherlands tomorrow. I think I'm going to Amsterdam after all. If I won't get anything from this I'll just get something from pro. I'll try to take pics and especially of Raspberry Swirl.

ETA: Sorry no pics tomorrow. I called with two counters and it's delayed. They didn't know the new date, but I could call back in the afternoon and then the managers were maybe able to help me out.

No dawn they are working on the train track between Eindhoven and Amsterdam tomorrow

Now it will take me half an hour longer to get there...maybe I'll go to Rotterdam instead since it's closer. I guess no pro trip after all.

ETA: Colletion is delayed so no trip to Rotterdam either.

Hey everyone! I was in my store today to pick up Fashion Sets and peek at Extra Dimension when all the Baking Beauties products came in, so I got to try everything out! Biggest surprise: Raspberry Swirl lipstick. I usually do not do well with these sorts of pinks AT ALL and besides, MAC puts so many of them out, they usually seem pretty redundant. BUT, RS is totally gorgeous and looks great even on my old, sallow NC15 skin tone. It just glows, with a beautiful bluish cast. If Lavender Whip is too purple for your taste, you are going to go berry berry crazy over RS. To put it in perspective, if you loved the amount of brightness and lightness in Reel Sexy, but wished it was a perfect bubblegum Barbie pink, RS is the one. Devils Food was an only slightly more brownish Boyfriend Stealer, which has a little more berry cast. The two are extremely close in color and sheerness, except I found Devils Food applied more fussily - it was a bit patchier and showed up dry bits on the lips more, plus Boyfriend Stealer is more buildable. Devils Food isn't buildable. It's a nice color but especially if you have BS, you really don't need it. Pure Decoration is quite pretty. If you love Playing Koi and need an update, PD is a little less strongly pastel and has a nice smooth texture. The only thing for me was, I compared it to Luxe Naturale Mineralize lipstick and it's just about the same color, at least on me (maybe PD is a little more peachy) and for my taste, I liked the glossier finish of Luxe Naturale against my skin. With one of the BEAUTIFUL Pearlmattes, PD might edge out Luxe N. It's a definite maybe or even more if you don't have Playing Koi or are going to be wearing a dewey or slightly light reflective skin texture (or are blessed with one already). Lavender Whip: well yeah, it's really beautiful. No doubt about it. It's surprisingly close to Blooming Lovely on me, but with a much nicer texture. It's so smooth and creamy, just like Raspberry Swirl. It's also a little more glossy than Blooming Lovely, with more of a glow to the color (also with a bluish cast to the brightness, like RS). I've loved BL since Liberty of London and never had LW before, but now I see the big deal about it. It's a BIG winner, of course. My 2 picks are RS and LW with a maybe on PD and a full pass on DF. I'll post about more stuff in a second post, to keep this one short-ish.

Wow, thanks for your opinion!
Btw, does Raspberry Swirl have some fine shimmer just like other cremesheen lipsticks?

And by gimmicky i mean the pattern and stuff. Now with marine life and my paradise (i know, different product) the pattern was kickass! And they had colour to em! With the PMs it's like they're all about the pattern, yet there's hardly any colour at all! It's like they wanna see how many different colours/designs they can use in a product, but they wanna keep it as colourless as possible. I want COLOUR!!!
I *kinda* agree...BPs and SFs are definitely a little bit more exciting for me in terms of color but I still really like the newest incarnations of the PMs. I'm pretty fair so I like the subtle wash of color and sheen that the PMs give my skin. I've mentioned this before, but I tend to flush quite a bit (if I'm hot...or embarassed...or angry...LOL!) so I tend to shy away from anything too pigmented on my cheeks. I end up using the PMs for just a subtle highlight on my cheekbones. While they do all sort of look similar, because I'm light skinned enough the subtle differences in shades do show up fairly well on me. I have quite a few highlighting products but I find the PMs seem to last a while longer on my skin than other brands of highlighters. Are both of these PMs going to be dupeable?...probably...but that isn't going to deter me from giving them a go. I also could see how a lot of customers could be frustrated with them, however. If someone is even a little bit darker complected than me it seems like they might not be worth it. It seems they might not even show up on a lot of people, or make those with darker skin even look a little ashy?

Next up, the Pearlmattes. First of all, the white border is overspray, and really chintzy overspray - it was gone in one swirl. This is a good thing - it's too white for even my skin tone and would totally look chalky. The rest of the colors go all the way through.

Pink Buttercream looks VERY similar to Veronica's Blush, so if you have that one and are trying to save money, you could skip it. The little periwinkle leaves are a bit small to pick up spot color, unless you used a teeny brush. Blended all together it really is very nice - maybe even a little smoother and less shimmery than VB. I'd say it's a tiny bit superior to VB just for that, so if you missed that one, you can definitely make up for it here. It's a great overall brightener on my skin tone and I think it will have much less chance of looking ashy on darker complexions than VB.

In for a Treat, on the other hand, I loved so much more than the Betty pearlmatte, which I didn't even buy. It looks extremely natural and there's enough of the red concentrated in the center that you can definitely vary how much color you can pick up, so more versatile than PB too. This is going to be the one most people are going to go for, I think, just because it's a more neutral color, but they're both gonna fly right out the door for sure.

Just for a quickie, the nail polishes have a really nice texture and application. However, you can dupe the blue with the pastel blue from China Glaze Avant Garden - Fade Into Hue. They're very very close, although the MAC might be a touch more of a jelly finish. Meanwhile, Pistachio Creme is a glorious bluish mint. I am so tempted to get it, but it looks like China Glaze is coming out with a very similar color in their upcoming Sunsational collection called Keeping It Teal. The big difference is KIT is supposed to be a straight neon jelly, so I am figuring it will be a bit brighter and from the few pictures out there, it might be a bit more green. If you're trying to save bucks, then you could probably hold out for CG - it is a third of the price, after all… I might break down and get Pistachio Creme, though - it's an eye popper. The one I KNOW I will get is Confectionary, which is a gorgeous almost jelly, with a hint of purple opalescence that's really subtle- hard to tell if it's actually opalescence or just the subtle way the color is mixed. There are a lot of pale pink polishes out there, but Confectionary brings something special to the table. MAC is great at coming up with unique neutrals in their nail polishes. Essie tries to do colors like these, but they're never quite this rich.

I wore Pink Buttercream all day and it had super lasting power. It didn't stop doing its thing until I took it off.

Both of them do have some really great pore minimizing qualities - I'd say better to all the other Pearlmattes I've tried.

Thanks "Pretty Honeybee" for posting the LW and Evening Stroll pictures. I think I will snatch it up just to put in the collection since I don't own very many lavender colors.

The lipstick's looks different with Beautezines photos because of her softbox lighting I guess. I like the nude brownish lip color in Makeupand beautyblogs photo. In beautezines photo is looks way lighter and made me not want it. http://www.beautezine.com/mac-summer-2013-baking-beauties-lipsticks-review-photos-swatches/ http://www.makeupandbeautyblog.com/daily-beauty-cat/mac-baking-beauties-collection/

Out of the Paint Pots, of course Eclair is the one. It goes on rich and smooth, with great coverage and a lovely sheen, and no glitter. It's like milk chocolate with a touch of brass sheen.

I liked Fancy Frosting and Mooncake too, but they're the sheer with glitter type of paint pots that you either love or hate. Fancy Frosting made the new Extra Dimension shadows POP like crazy (they're pretty transparent on their own), so that one's coming home with me. Not sure about Mooncake - it's a color people will love, but there's a perm Pro Longwear PP that is very close but with more of an orange cast.

If you are already a fan of the Mineralize Lip Balms, the new ones give more of the same. Of course the blue isn't very bluish on, but it's a nice color for canceling out red lips. Sweet Tooth and Cheery Cherry are so close, I'm not quite sure why they did two of these. Sweet Tooth lightens the lips more. Baking Beauty looks very yellow in the tube, but applies really awesomely - it's fantastic for wearing over peachy nude lipsticks to bring out more peach, and is quite peachy on its own too. If you have purplish lips, I'd call it a must buy. As usual, they blot down fantastically, even when applied on top of lipstick, so you can really control the amount of glossiness while not losing the color tinting effect. Obviously, if you aren't a fan of these, the new colors aren't going to convince you (except maybe Baking Beauty if you like to warm up your nudes). I'm going to get one of each, but not back any of them up.

The brushes look very cute and good quality, but I personally do not like short handled eye brushes and I already have an SH 129. They come with clear vinyl slip cases that the brushes fit totally inside of, which is a nice touch for your purse.

Overall, Raspberry Swirl, Lavender Whip and In For a Treat are the best items, with Eclair as runner up. Not sure about the quantities on these - don't count on high numbers of anything, I'd say, so grab what you can when you can.

Thank you for all the info, Liba! Looks like Mooncake is not going to be the next Nubile, but Eclair's a yummy cousin! I love the MLBs! I don't need them to have much colour because they are just lip balms for me (not glosses). My list is looking ok so far, but I'm possibly going to need the RS lippie, too. Swatches?!
