MAC In Extra Dimension Collection 2013 (April 2013)

I carefully inspected my other ED products again now that we have some sunlight. I noticed my STF has fingerprints as well (in different areas of the ridges). I will be returning them to Nordies and hope the replacements I receive will have no fingerprints. (They probably will.)

I can't believe how many of you have received obviously handled products. I agree that a mold can't possibly be the culprit. If they did have to be pushed into the pan, surely employees would wear gloves. Ugh.

This whole EDSF release has been problematic. MAC Canada got them on time, but reversed the codes and shipped out the wrong product. MAC US delayed the product to the point that those who want them will probably get them from other retailers. Macys either got a bad shipment from MAC or had some disgruntled employee tamper with the products. What a fiasco.

I ended up exchanging my StF for Fiery Impact blush; I vastly prefer the application and tone and I can add some glow from either Def Def or another highlighter. I liked Flaming Haute a lot too, but when I brought in my other orange and apricot blushes even the MUA thought it would be superfluous. An application of Fresh Honey with a touch of Modern Mandarin added is almost identical. When I got home, it turns out that FI is very close to Early Morning MB but I prefer FI. I like the MB a lot (I wore Warm Soul to death last summer) but I need to keep reapplying them. I think the EDB have better staying power.

There must be something odd going on with the production of those EDSF's, my guess would be that they had a new employee that didnt understand how crucial it is to wear gloves. There's way too many of you that has gotten fondled products for it to be a tiny small-scale mistake with only a few of them. Kinda gross though, ew.

And effed up orders to boot!

I got my haul on Thursday. Its surprising to say that least that I did not get even one of the EDSF. I were to get one it would have been STF. I ended up with Opalesse because it looks like nothing I currently own. The closest thing would be Static from Illamasqua and that's a pigment. I had to get Flaming Chic EDB and will most likely go back for Fiery Impact.

Thank you for the comparison to Early Morning. It was of great help!

That sucks so bad, I'm sorry! Definitely email them and let them know. At least they can then figure out if it's a problem on their end, or at MAC's. Either way, the more people that tell the, the better.
I hope they can get you replacements. Make sure you email them the photograph.

It's really nuts that this is happening to so many people. I've never, ever had a problem with anything MAC I have ordered before! It sounds like there's either a totally ignorant, or disgruntled employee somewhere along the line.
I don't think it's the molds, because then they would all be in the same exact spots.

I didn't have any issues like this with my last years purchase of all three skinfinishes.

My zestful box was beat up also, and that product also, what looks like a finger pring. NOrdies customer service has pissed me off. The rep kept saying the product that you "claim" is damaged. In all of the years I've ordered, I've NEVER called customer service.
I am impressed with Macy's response. Not only was nordies dismissive, I also have to go through the hassle of returning the product and paying for a new order.

Yeah, I wasn't very impressed with their CS either.

Both of mine arrived in flawless condition. No light marks, no fingerprints. I always check my stuff carefully. I've used both so I've now got brush strokes or worn areas in the writing, but they certainly didn't arrive that way.
I got all three and checked carefully after reading several related posts---happily, all are fine & unflawed. Sighs w/much relief

That's lame. Did they charge you for it????
turns out they did not and I was able to call the store and they have it on hold for me....

I also called the store and they still have zestful and double definition on hold for me, silly heffa thought I was talking about mascara. don't mind me, I'm still annoyed by my call to customer service and fighting a headache.

MAC you're doing too much, your sales associates can't keep up. Neither can you.

Yeah, they were pretty dismissive. I was told the items shipped from their warehouse and therefore never opened or tested.

I am currently unable to go to my local store or the post office, but I guess I have 30 days to return the items or I will get charged for the replacements. No big, but it's a bit of a hassle. I understand if I'm returning or exchanging a product because I didn't like it. These have fingerprints on them!

You can go online and schedule a USPS pickup. No going to the post office. They'll come to you!

I just scheduled a USPS pickup for Monday. Wow, that was quick and easy. Thanks again, Erine!

Now, I'm just crossing my fingers that there won't be any fingerprints on the replacements.
