MAC In Extra Dimension Collection 2013 (April 2013)

This is what I got from this collection. I do wish I got Shape the Future. Maybe I'll be able to pick it up still, if it isn't sold out...
I haven't used Triple Impact yet but it's so beautiful, I can't wait to use it. I'm obsessed with Double Definition, it leaves such a gorgeous glow on my cheeks. I've used it every day since I've purchased it. I'm an NC30, if anyone was wondering.
These are my crappy swatches, lol. I'm so sorry but I tried. The top swatch is of Triple Impact which is so hard to capture. It's so beautiful and the pictures do not do it justice. You have to swatch it in person to really appreciate it. The bottom 3 swatches are of Double Definition. First 2 of the separate colours, and the third, both blended together.

Thanks for the swatches! I was indeed wondering how Double Definition would look like on NC30. However, it seems quite a strong colour on you, do you use it in place of a bronzer? I'm thinking of replacing my Whisper of Gilt with this one because Whisper of Gilt is a little too light and hardly shows up on me.
Also, did any of the blushes catch your eye?

No I don't place it instead of bronzer just because I don't like shimmery bronzer. Sometimes I use it as blush or I'll mix both colours in the pan and use it as a highlight (or just use the lighter side as highlight). Honestly, it's not that strong on my face, when I swatched it on my hand, I did it a couple of times. Skin on my face is also more yellow and tanner then my hands. Sadly, I don't have Whisper of Guilt so I couldn't compare them for you. I just really love how warm and glowy it looks on my cheeks. I have Albatross by NARS, Soft and Gentle, Gold Deposit and Glorify. I feel like Double Definiton is lighter then both Gold Deposit and Glorify. (Gold Deposit and Glorify are very similar, Glorify being more pigmented). Both Soft and Gentle and Albatross are lighter then Double Defenition (Alabatross being more yellow toned then Soft and Gentle).
As for the blushes, I loved Bareness and Fiery Impact. I wasn't able to purchase them on the day of the release but I do want to buy them if they're still available at my counter. Luckily my counter isin't very popular so the products do drag out for a little longer then usual.

Oh that's great that you compared it to Soft and Gentle because that MSF was nice but it just disappeared on my skin so I ended up swapping it away. I think there's something about my complexion that negates golden colours because gold eyeshadows or eyeliners don't show up well on me. That's why I am really hoping that Double Definition might finally be my elusive golden highlighter.

I know exactly what you mean. Yeah Double Defenition is different then Soft and Gentle, it's deeper. I'm going to post photos to show you what it looks like on me. Today was really sunny where I live so the photos are in natural sunlight.
So this is Double Definition on me. Like I said it's in natural direct sunlight. I also went a little cray cray and added a little too much, lol. Oh and also, I have eczema and I can't wear foundation, so it will look different with foundation underneath it, I imagine more smoother. I'm wearing concealer and bronzer on my face. Hope that helped you!

On another note, two bombs went off at the Boston marathon. I hope that anyone on here and anyone they know is safe. I have a close friend who's doing her phD at Harvard and I don't think there would be any reason that she would be there, but I am still worried that I cannot get through to her on her phone. My thoughts are with those affected.

I am so surprised at Temptalia's rating on the blushes! I am a huge fan of MAC blushes & so of course I bought all of them. I even liked the pro longwear blushes!! Anyhow, I've tried bareness, at dusk and blazing haute. While all 3 show up on me, blazing haute is the only one with a decent look on the skin. I don't *hate* them but I am disappointed. The 3 SF's are nice though...& I don't wear too many es.
