That's the same number I called this morning, but the person said "This collection was initially set for tomorrow, but it has now been postponed without a release date so far."
I asked if they were for sure about it and it says the notice for their release said as of now, it is definitely not coming tomorrow?

I called (800) 387-6707 as well.

I'll try to stalk with you. I've been exhausted of late and can't stay up past 10pm. I hope "if" this collection does go up tomorrow it will be at 12pm while I'm here at work so I can play the waiting game with MAC.

I am >< close to giving up. Now if it shows up tomorrow I honestly do not know what I will get if anything at all. I want to think having a matte version of UTA and Rebel is a great idea but I can't seem to muster up the excitement anymore. Womp womp lol

Tx xlisaa! I'm so confused. I may just not buy these lippies at all. Too darn exhausted to play this game. Or as Danny Glover would say in his Lethal Weapon days. "I'm too old for this s&*t".

I know what you mean OctoberViolet. I said the same thing to myself yesterday.

I find it highly unlikely she contracted genial herpes from a lipstick and all oral herpes is is a cold sore, so this is an awful lot of drama for a cold sore.

A shocking amount honestly. It's all very strange.

But seriously, yeah, I would not want anyone serving me with a cold sore. I feel sorry for people that get them.

If it really wasn't sanitized properly there is definitely some fault with the MUA, but I highly doubt she applied it to this woman without her permission, so the ultimate responsibility has to lie with the customer.

I see it as a personal responsibility issue. If I know someone hasn't sanitized a product, and I still allow them to apply it to me, I am choosing to take the risk of catching something, and by taking that risk it's then my fault if I do.

Even setting aside the issue of proving the herpes cam from the lipstick, it just doesn't seem like a suit that holds any weight:

"I knew she hadn't sanitized it, but I let her apply it to me.
I caught herpes and it's her fault because she didn't sanitize it."

"Well you knew she hadn't sanitized it, so why did you let her apply it?"
Makeup testers in any retail cosmetic environment are virtual cesspools of bacteria & germs----"sanitization efforts" notwithstanding, these places
should be viewed as harboring foreseeable dangers. You enter/test at your own risk, and I suspect that disclaimers to that affect exist with most
retailers. We hesitate to use public restrooms (and rightfully so in many cases) yet allow someone to put, or put products on ourselves that are used
and in some cases abused by others. If you can contract a nosocomial infection in a CONTROLLED environment like a hospital where standards are
high and systems are in place to avoid cross contamination and infection, why in God's name would you expect that you would not/could not be
harmed in a non-clinical situation? Buyers/Testers beware. I'd prefer to return an item that doesn't work for me, or lose a bit of $$$ on an item
that I can't return than expose myself to a product that could be contaminated in spite of ernest sanitization efforts. We need to be wise consumers for
the sake of our own safety and well-being.

I love cosmetics just as much, if not more than anyone on this site, but there's a bigger lesson here than the inconvenience or not of the 'possible
delay' of a product. Be safe and smart consumers!!

I agree. I started shopping for other stuff. Sleek makeup launched their candy collection and I ordered it.

I'm sure mac is handeling the case and if they're like most corporations it won't even go to court. Since its made such big news they'll probably want it to just dissapear and they'll give her a pay out regardless of it being true or not.

I think you're probably right on this.
