MAC Tropical Taboo Collection (2013)

So I will be in suburbs of Chicago for this release and the mall is a popular one, with mac counters at both nordstorms and macy's...but they are on opposite ends of the mall.

I'm from Canada so we have neither...

Any opinions on which one I should wait outside at at 10am on July 4th? Do you find they have similar stock etc? Does it matter?

I thought that too. But think MA is better. I like the color better, and this ones glitter looks chunky. It looks like HC's mes are better quality.

Sad thing is I think I only want Midnight Mambo from this. I'm just not feeling it. I'm just going to consider my Ariel haul from Sephora my bday haul :nods:

In a way it's been 7 with us as well. Cause within the 10 years of us on and off I was with someone else for 3 of them. And we almost got married. Thank God we didn't! Really dodged a bullet right there lol :sweat:

I'm with y'all. Thus far not enthused at all. Mineralized collections are my favorite, but especially in terms of MES, I prefer the buttery Golden Gaze variety over the glitter fiesta versions, with very few exceptions. Caribbean is not giving me much hope for the other ones.

Stupid MAC moving this collection up...might not be able to get anything now because I didn't plan on getting the money for it until July.

I am thinking exact the same thing! Been there before..bought the cool glittery mineralize stuff from MAC, never used it! They are beautiful to look at in the pan, but I just never use them. Maybe I will buy one LE MSF, I have to see them in person.

I thought July 4th in store?? June 27th online? Hasn't it always been set as July 4th release date?

If its Woodfield mall that's my spot I suggest going to wait outside Mac and whatever Mac doesn't have they will call Nordstrom or macys to hold what ever products till you can get over there that's what I always do but mac usually has everything if you get there right when they open

It's Westfield old orchard. Woodfield is too far from where I'm staying :( Nobody will be willing to drive me there for a little bit of makeup :p

For some reason there is no mac store there! Just the counters at Nordstrom and Macys.

Do you think I should just wait in front of one and call and hold the products in the other then? Both Nordstroms and Macy's do holds?

EDIT: checked the map, and while the two aren't opposite ends, its still a walk in which I lose time in!
