MM was horrible to get in-store so I probably would not try for RiRi in-store, but online on Macy's or Nordstrom instead. There was a long line at the Nordstrom I went to way before store opening & I just left, lol. There was also a MAC store inside the same mall as the Nordstrom & they had a long line as well.

*~*I haven't posted in YEARS (literally haha), but this release was an all around hot mess. I placed 2 orders before 12, and 3 after 12 (those took me 3 hours to place). The ones I placed prior to 12 were cancelled, but the ones that were placed after are still pending. I will say this, I would not have been upset if those who ordered last night (& prior to 12) had their orders processed an shipped. IMO, since MAC had the option of adding the items to your bag and checking out (with a confirmation number received), then the items are yours, regardless of the set release time. If MAC wanted to make sure that no one ordered prior to release time, then they should have waited until then to make the items available to order. To those who are saying that they waited and didn't try to order prior to 12, that's all well and good, but please do not get upset at those who did. If MAC made them available to order, why should those customers be penalized? It's not like MAC's system was hacked, the items were on the site and available to order.*end rant* *~*

Mac needs to take some notes from sephora. Even though there was a glitch in the system with the ariel palette they didn't go ahead and cancel the orders smh wth mac.

Oh no I will not be going in store, just online for me. I'll be in Tallahassee for the fall RiRi collection and I know they will receive small stock since its a "small town" yet a bunch of college girls who love makeup are there, I have no time to fight over low stock with those girls!

Omfg, I just went back and read through everything again, even though I was there when we were being called idiots. It wasn't funny then, but I just burst out laughing... Ish is funny now!! We may have gotten a wee but carried a way with our Alien jokes but it made for some good laughs!

That is just an unacceptable response.
I am REALLY surprised that they could even cancel the orders that quick!
So was I! All the effort they put into canceling the orders they could of put into making sure their launch wasn't so jacked up or into getting the orders processed quicker.

There's nothing about what MAC did today that's fair or a good business move.
Absolutely. I am happy for the people that got their early orders shipped, but I am so annoyed about the inconsistent communication and self-righteous MAC CS "fairness" BS. MAC's IT failed big time and it's ridiculous to scapegoat customers. Oops, I said I wasn't going to comment on fairness. But thanks, CartoonChic, for your wisdom as always.

Or if they want to do that waiting room thing, they should have done it like how Sephora did it for Black Friday. It went SO much smoother than with MAC this morning!

The part that trips me out the most is the stories of people calling Mac (for whatever reason) and being lectured about ordering early. Well, excuse the hell out of me for using your website. I didn't run up in your damn warehouse.
