So I received a back order email today as well. I ordered my lipsticks around 3pm Est. I really don't get Mac this go around. RIRi Woo 's launch was much better. I had no issues. I don't even care anymore at this point. I'm about to take a real break from Mac.

btw how do I switch from mac Canada to mac usa . It keeps going to Canada site, no matter what.
Clear your history or go to the very bottom of MAC's page and click on Country Chooser. Country Chooser is between Customer Service and Site Map. Click on English next to United States.

Honestly, there is absolutely no reason for anyone to put up with this. I've been buying MAC for 20 years, but they are far from the only game in town. They take customers for granted because they can and it will continue until people are prepared to vote with their wallets. The three lippies are essentially dupes of perm items and there are better alternatives for the remaining items. I admit I'm not a Rihanna fan but I don't see anything here that's particularly special or unique. MAC may want to jerk everyone around re launch times and processes but the only reason they're able to do it is because customers let them. So stop. My Nana used to tell me that no one can take advantage of you unless you let them and she was right. I really am sorry that people are getting the run around and are disappointed. The answer is simple though - don't keep running back for more of the same. They don't really care if people are pissed as long as they keep buying. So if this kind of business practice is unacceptable to you, stop rewarding it by throwing more money at them. Otherwise all the venting in the world will change nothing.

Well, I get up this morning to check my 'legitimate' 'fair' order

I've been on the phone with MAC CS for awhile. I explained that they've had launch/ordering/sellout issues for a long time. Anyhow, because of how I explained things she is sending a recording of my call to the higher ups so they can hear it in my own words. I guess they will be calling me back in 2 days. I told her that they need to stop treating those that ordered early as though they did something nefarious or criminal. So I say cool, bring it on.

Oh, I said if MAC wants to deal with something that really is not legitimate, go look at ebay where they are selling large quantities of product & most people can't even purchase 1 on launch day.
Once they look at my order history, they are on my side

She also brought up about this beauty board. I guess that was because of the noobie snitch. I said that board has nothing to do with the epic fail MAC had yesterday.

I'm sorry some of you guys are having a horrible time with mac! Did you all talk to real people? I've had only amazing customer service with them! They even let me return something a year old! Lol I had never used it and granted I shop A lot but I wouldn't take the bad customer service! I'm just wondering if its all automated. What a mess. I had decided to skip though it being in stock still is making me itch lol
They've talked to real people. People that want to give lectures on "fairness".

It's hard from me to walk away from MAC period bc I've been so hardcore for MAC through my makeup "life", i felt silly at first being mad ab it but then I was like wow I put so much into loving MAC and that's how they do in return? So I know I can't do the big releases anymore. Idk I just feel yucky I was pissed at everyone n for everyone who was like me waiting in that stupid room trying to get some of that stuff.
They just seem to keep digging their grave even deeper too with all the "legitimate" orders that are being canceled and package interceptions. It makes me really sad even though I've only been into MAC for about 2 years. I feel betrayed and went out of my way to not use any of their products this morning when getting ready for work I've become so disillusioned with them due to their utter disregard for their loyal customers. I have a package pending that I was so excited about at first that I don't even want anymore. I just hope they find some way to make it right with people (not holding my breath) because this was just plain ridiculous.

I love Mac but I'm dying for the day that a true real boycott happens to them. The day that nobody even goes to ebay looking for items because theyre that fed up. The product quality has been going down more and more since the late 90's as prices go up and sizes decrease. Then, if you walk into a store you don't know if you're going to get an excellent knowledgeable makeup artist or some temporary salesperson who Mac hasn't even properly updated on upcoming collections. I can't tell you how many times I'm told a product isn't coming out or doesnt exist that I KNOW is coming out from info and photos online. Half the time these salespersons have bad attitudes and/or are snobby as hell and what do we do? We deal with it. For these and many other reasons I hate going to a MAC store, so I don't any more. However, now shopping online is becoming an atrocity with the sold out in 30 second issues and now the waiting room garbage and cancelling peoples orders after they screw up, etc. I guess I'm not young enough to tolerate this anymore because for me, MAC is really begging to be boycotted.
It starts with you. And everyone else who refuses to accept this nonsense. Being angry and (rightfully) complaining isn't enough if you're not willing to walk. They will not change unless they are forced to through a serious drop in revenues.

Did anyone get their legit order cancelled and called to ask whats the reason? what did they say?

Yep, I pretty much told them a lot of this in the 'recorded' phone complaint this morning. I am really hoping that whomever calls me back to hear about these issues is high enough in the company to actually address the issues. Its been in decline over the past few years for sure. I told them that too ;)

I'm going to feel like in losing out but I believe this is my break starting with them. I can't take the treatment. Like others have said why should you have to beg a company to take your money? I'm really going to try my best to leave them alone if not in total, for a while.

Good morning ladies. I am so sad for all of us that our having this trouble (my order was cancelled too). The funds that mac authorized to put on hold from my bank account have still not been credited. Now my account is all jacked up. Sigh...
