RiRi Hearts MAC Summer Collection (June 18, 2013)

Hey all. I just took time to read where I left off in this forum (around page 215) and I must say as I kept going through the pages, my anger about yesterday's fiasco just kept growing. After reading I decided to look at my order statuses.

My order that was made at 4:30 EST:​

RiRi Boy - Backordered​

Hibiscus Kiss- Pending​

My order at 5:15 EST:​

RiRi Boy- Pending​

Heaux- Pending​

I have a good feeling that my "pending" orders will be cancelled. I'm just sad now. I wanted this collection for my birthday. I been reading and stalking this thread for so long and when launch day comes, all hell breaks loose. This was supposed to be my birthday collection as I told my friends and family, some birthday this is. I know its just makeup but still I just have this feeling of great disappointment.

Hello Ladies, I'm a newbie too. I decide to join to keep up with new collections and such, I found this site doing a search on when the mac heroine lipstick will be back and i saw this Riri post. I really wanted the lipsticks and I was stalking mac for like a whole week, I was on before 12 and Omg 3 times I got to submit final order and I got gateway time out. I was so pissed, but i kept on trying and I had about 4 open screen on 3 p.c and also on my phone, kinda shame about being that desperate lol but my order finally went through. I hope it won't be cancelled. I just want to know do MAC do this all the time with their collections? Because this is madness

My one and only "legitimate" order still says pending but Im sitting on my desk with my email and the mac site open, and I feel like I'm sitting outside the OR room waiting for bad news to arrive

That is exactly how I feel! And pending on an order appears to mean nothing at this point.

i honestly really dont understand why they are doing this. i think itll make more sense if they keep it pending until they figure things out before just cancelling it all completely. at 10 am my orders still said pending but now i am scared to look because theyve been canceling stuff left and right. i still havent recieved an email about my canceled orders before 12 but i did see those were cancelled yesterday.

my question is though should blushes and lustre drops be in stock now that theyve been canceling people who had this in their orders?

My 'fair' order was logged at 2pm even though I was kicked out for 2 hrs. 2 ls - one pending which is shipping & one backordered from that order

I have said this before, but I will say it again. I really think the Specktra should move towards a forum like Slickdeals. Wikis, requiring people to login to view posts and information, etc. These are all things that would make this board so efficient. I know it won't prevent people from becoming a member just to view info, but I think it would help lessen the kind of problems we see so often.

My second order is still pending (the first was cancelled), but to be honest, I don't really care if it ships. Looking at the previews of the upcoming collections, I am mostly skipping all MAC collections because I don't see anything I like but also because there are far better brands out there that actually care about their customers.

Just checked my order status and one of my post launch orders says shipped and has a tracking number but UPS says >>> UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later. I haven't gotten a shipping email yet so we'll see if it actually gets here. Hopefully the MAC gangster posse won't jump out at my front door and intercept the package as it is being delivered.

Despite the horrible mess that this release was {is?} I am going to look on the bright side. I mean I came on yesterday and had to leave the neverending waiting room at around 2.30 pm EST because of adorable grandbaby but hey I can STILL order the stuff and get it in a few weeks. I realize it is beyond aggravating to wait but compared to stuff being sold out within an hour and not being able to get your hands on it at all? This is a bonus.

not to make light of the horrible horrible waiting room fiasco, cancellations, return to shipper nonsense at all.

I've been demoted to the backorder list. "Maybe we'll have more in two weeks....maybe." Meh, I can go either day on these lipsticks. We'll see what happens.

Same with me, I was ordering for myself because my bday is today and was all excited about it launching the day before, but now I don't even know if I want my pending order to go through or not this has been such a disaster and I can't think of a time I have been this angry towards a company. :/

You should be good. Usually when you get that notification it means that the shipment label has been created but the actual package hasn't been received by UPS yet

So if everybody's getting cancellation notices and back order notices WHERE THE hELL are all these people on eBay getting them from?and where is all their stock going?
