This particular thread is bananas. Went from makeup, to Herps, back to makeup, to all sorts of feuds. Can I be notified when we're back to makeup (which is the reason I signed up for specktra in the first place)? Better yet, can we get a separate swatch thread (or direct me to it if one exists)? I'm gonna be stopping by this weekend and hopefully I can score the RRB and RRH. If not I just have to wait for my BO items to ship.

It is such a place, but it is also a public forum, and just as you have a right to your opinion, so do others. When you put your opinion out there, especially if it has a hint of judgement (especially with so many passionate makeup collectors like here), you have to be prepared for peole to disagree, and to state that as well. I didn't get "anger" out of any of the responses to your post. And frankly, even lableing the responses as "angry" is a little insulting. It's not that serious.

I don't know if I'd hit a fan on the head with a mic, but I sure as hell wouldn't allow them to pull me off the stage. Fans are insane and then wonder why celebs keep their distance.

I got what I wanted yesterday, I'm not speaking of myself. People keep bringing up MUAs, family/friends, and perms .. once again that's not who we're faulting. But anyway it seems that some are getting offended over it. It's just an opinion.. just as some may dislike the people that buy to resell... simple opinion. There was no intention to offend anyone so to avoid confusion I'm done on that subject...  :closed:

To be fair....the initial complaint/comment/opinion was very vague so it didn't seem to exclude anyone. It was said that people buying x-amount of items and how unfair it was/appeared to be...and how it didn't make sense because they would sell them or couldn't possibly use them. So of course people mentioned reasons why some people purchase so much. It's a forum...people are supposed to respond to comments made. It doesn't translate to anyone being offended (and if they were then responding is still great). We talk on here. We sometimes beat a topic to death. But save for some random amped up drama it rarely gets that serious. If people responding on the topic brought up offends you or anyone else I'm almost positive that was not the intention but anyone that posts on this or any forum has to accept that it is subject to being replied to and debated. If the initial intent was misunderstood it usually gets cleared up because of the responses.

The people that first talked about this later stated that they understood buying for family, friends, etc.... but people kept bringing it up.. No offended me.. but from the posts of some people they seemed offended. I know we can talk.. that's all I was trying to do in a convo that I didn't even start.

I'm brand new as a member, but I've been creeping around for a couple of months. After yesterday's war, I decided to join... can't let you guys have all the fun!

I was able to order the three lipsticks off of the MAC Canada website on that not so secret link the night before (even though I'm not from North America, got them sent to a friend). I got so nervous about it, I decided to do it the old fashioned way and got a RRB backup (the only one was NEEDED) and HK and was deep in those waiting room trenches for about three hours!

Just got a shipping notification on the naughty night before order and was delivered to my friend today! I won't see them until I visit her later in the summer but I'm so glad she has them. Now... let's see about that post 12 order!
